Trouble began when I read about rumors of a mirrorless camera from Pentax that accepts any K-mount lens. I sold off my Wanderlust Pinwide some time ago in anticipation of this one from SLR Magic and after some waiting … finally it came knocking at my door yesterday. It is great to be back home in Singapore after 5 days in Malaysia to celebrate the Lunar New Year with my folks. Finally I put the (very little) effort to try shove in a little AF fine tuning adjustment to my K5 paired with 85mm lens. I’ve always had this feeling that it is back/front focusing a little but couldn’t bothered to fine tune it (until today) and after a few minutes of testing and tweaking … eventually a +2 value for the AF fine tuning seems necessary for this solid old … [ read more ]

In a blink of an eye … Fitzand turned 5 yesterday. Instead of the usual day off on his birthday, he told me that he wanted to celebrate it in school with his friends there and thus we prepared some goodie bags and ordered cake for him to have some good time with his buddies there.
