Merry X’mas baby!

Written by • Dec 14th, 2008 • Category: Lead Story
Ooops! Perhaps it’s bit too early but I got Fitzand a special X’mas present. A digital camera for kids! Well maybe I am trying to make sure he doesn’t bug me for my cameras that often and uses his own instead but that’s yet to be confirmed. Found this pretty rugged Little Tikes digital camera in Toys’r’ Us yesterday night when we were in Orchard Rd. It even has a LCD behind (yeah! a real LCD but of course the resolution is low and it’s maybe an inch or just… >> read more

Fishy goes designer

The guys at Lomography has done it again … this time, a limited edition Fisheye2 camera, done in a collaboration with Paul Smith. Pretty neat stripes and an elegant lens cap (yeah, the first time I find a lens cap elegant!). I have a friend who is drooling over it since this morning … maybe she should get her lovely husband to buy it for her as Christmas present this year. It costs US$150 only (the word ‘only’ is used just in case her husband reads this). Get yours here.… >> read more

The LC-A book!

Written by • Nov 6th, 2008 • Category: Lead Story
Oh what a way to start my day! Woke up this morning to receive an email from Lomography, indicating that I’ve been given 100 piggies (US Dollars) in their web store … to purchase the new cool Lomo LC-A book! That’s because some of those photos I submitted some time ago (I can’t remember when or which photos) were accepted and are printed in that book. Yay! I still have to pay US$50 to get the book shipped here though. Read more about the book here. I think it’s a… >> read more

Lensbaby found!

Written by • Oct 19th, 2008 • Category: Lead Story
Finally found someone selling off a very mint condition Original Lensbaby! I’ve been waiting for this for quite a while now and today, I just picked up one to pair it with my old neglected Nikon EM. The EM was my first film SLR I bought a year ago and used it a couple of times before ‘upgrading’ to a Nikon FA. I love the compact and light EM and thus wanted to find a Original Lensbaby to pair it for film photography using a Lensbaby. The reason why I… >> read more

I’ve managed to sell off 2 of my custom design Holga cameras in just two days and the only one left now is the wooden design Holga. Suprised at the good response I received since I posted that blog entry, but I’m even more surprised at the amount of emails, text messages, calls and private messages I got. No, not that I’m complaining, since I’m selling these cams off for charity … but I am pretty amazed at some of those ‘encounters’. I’ll share some of them here … I… >> read more

My hometown

Written by • Sep 24th, 2008 • Category: Lead Story
Batu Pahat, Johore in Malaysia is the place I used to call home. Born & studied there and left for Kuala Lumpur (which I burned another 10 years of my life at) when I completed secondary school. I do travel back there every couple of months to visit my folks and getting fat eating all the delicious food there. Compared to those days when I was there, it’s no longer the peaceful and slow paced town (though there are still slow paced people who drive like turtles … but hey… >> read more

This is killing me!

Temptation! Lust! Look what those clever (evil!) guys from Lensbaby did! They just announced a series of pretty neat and cool lenses (plus attachment lenses!) to replace the original Lensbaby, Lensbaby 2.0 and Lensbaby 3G. The Lensbaby is my all time favourite fun lens (yeah, I sold off my L lenses coz they were boring!). The one I am eyeing is the Composer, which is according to their press release … The new Composer retains its position after being bent and is easy to use even with one hand. Photographers… >> read more

Fun in the sun

Written by • Sep 6th, 2008 • Category: Lead Story
Brought Fitzand to the East Coast Park for some fun in the sun. It’s also the first time he got to eat bits of chicken at KFC and he loves it! 😀 Forgot to bring along his ‘equipments’ for his sand scooping, so had to buy a new set at the 7-11 there and he got a bonus pack of 6 colorful toy fishies to go along with it. He got his weekly ice cream dose too. Stayed there for a couple of hours before heading for dinner and now… >> read more

An early taste of Death

Written by • Sep 4th, 2008 • Category: Lead Story
As some of us are anxiously waiting for the worldwide launch of Metallica’s latest album ‘Death Magnetic’ since 2003’s ‘St Anger’ album, I stumbled upon some online tracks & video in their official website … do check them out if you are a fan (or hater). Found out that they are also releasing special editions of the album that comes with other goodies like DVD, t-shirts and such … all packed in a white coffin! That’s hell cool, ain’t it? The ‘coffin’ comes in sizes like S, M, L… >> read more
