Don’t Be Naked!

Written by • Mar 26th, 2010 • Category: Others
After seeing how more people are putting some effort to ‘dress up’ their cameras, I decided to start a page in Facebook to house images of the many wonderful, cool, crazy, weird, funky, cute or sometimes bizarre looking cameras … for everyone to enjoy. Was pretty surprised to find that the number of fans hit over a hundred overnight! Photos are coming in real fast too and I do hope these photos can inspire more people to start dressing up their cameras. After all … naked cameras suck! As I’m… >> read more

About Mijonju

Written by • Jan 15th, 2010 • Category: Someone : About
Michel aka Mijonju is a very interesting friend I got to know (strangely) through some Olympus E-P1 forum. His is a big crazy camera lover and of course from there, we got to be pretty good friends and did some double exposure collaborations together. I’m hoping we can meet up soon in Japan when I’m on vacation … but I’ve gotta make sure he doesn’t bring me camera shopping! Anyway, he is the featured person in this round of ‘About Someone’ entry. It is very interesting (and funny) to… >> read more

Dressing Up The LC-A+

Written by • Jan 7th, 2010 • Category: Others
Not too long ago, I read that Lomography is inviting submissions of designs for a special edition LC-A+ camera and we are allowed to use all sorts of ideas, material etc etc to come out with our own versions of the camera. Not having any knowledge in designing nor good at it … I still thought I could try shove in a couple of ideas and see if miracles can happen. Hahaha! Winning a trip to Lomo HQ in Vienna and a few copies of the camera … are good… >> read more

Limited Horrible Edition

Written by • Dec 28th, 2009 • Category: Others
My heart was beating fast when I read about this limited edition Ricoh GRDIII camera … for Stussy‘s 30th anniversary. Since Stussy has some pretty cool stuffs, I thought the limited edition cam is gonna be hell cool … but I was wrong. Dead wrong. Take a look at the camera and decide for yourselves …. hahaha …. The mode dial looks like some blue plastic mineral water bottle cap! I love the icons & the fonts at the back! I love the font they used and also those cool… >> read more

Sticky Sticky Sunday

Written by • Dec 27th, 2009 • Category: Toys
Dropped by the post office today to collect a package that was supposed to be in my hands on X’mas eve but unfortunately my office was closed when the postman arrived. Some of you might have read in my earlier entry about this metal sticker set by Gariz (in Korea) for the Olympus E-P1 … I thought it looked pretty cool and thus placed order for it through Gmarket. The entire ordering process was very fast and the item was shipped from Korea to me (using EMS) in a couple… >> read more

Photographiques customises?

Written by • Dec 24th, 2009 • Category: Others
It wasn’t long ago that I did this interview with Catherine who runs a photography website (in French) … mostly about those ‘dressed up’/customized Holga cameras I used to do. Looking back … it has been a long long while since I’ve worked on any new design for the Holga cams and I promise myself to find time to work on few more designs in 2010. It is not that I’ve no new ideas to do them … but it is always the lack of time in life. Hahaha. How… >> read more

The Art Of Waiting

Written by • Dec 4th, 2009 • Category: Others
The lady from accounts department handed me a letter today and I burst into laughter. No … not a letter from my boss saying that I got an increment (something I’ve lost contact with). It was a letter from Canada and on it … it was written ‘The Art Of Waiting’. What’s so funny about that? I was waiting (impatiently) for a parcel to arrive. The parcel is suppose to be a replacement hard disk from Seagate and since I will be on leave for a week from tomorrow …… >> read more

Days With My Father

Written by • Dec 3rd, 2009 • Category: Others
Came across this website ‘Days With My Father’ by Phillip Toledano and can’t resist but to share it with everyone here. In this life, some are afraid of growing old … while some are in a constant fear of death. There is no way we can change all these but while we are alive, why not make the best of it and appreciate life to the max. Hmm … I am not talking about spending all our money on more cameras!!! Okay … get serious for a while. I’m still… >> read more

Ugly Lens, Ugly Food

Written by • Nov 23rd, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
I was out early in the morning on Saturday to view/shoot the sunrise again. This time we decided to park out butts at the Merlion Park instead of the usual sunrise shoots at the beach. That morning I didn’t really shoot much but spent more time slacking and testing out this lens that I bought used recently. It is a very funny and weird looking little lens for my Olympus E-P1. This Pentax 25mm f1.4 lens is a manual focus lens that produces photos that are pretty sharp in the… >> read more

Painter At Work

Written by • Sep 28th, 2009 • Category: Others
It took them quite a while to get this prize I won in the Jones Soda – Lomography contest delivered but it finally came in the mail today. The Lomo POP9 … super-duper-plasticky 9 lens camera. 😀 Spent the evening guiding and helping Fitzand complete his DIY lantern ‘project’ which actually was due today but we overlooked it. Hahaha! So it was quite a rush for us to complete it and hand it over to the teachers tomorrow. I think they are having some moon cake festival thingie going on… >> read more
