Short KL Trip 2012

Written by • Dec 20th, 2012 • Category: Digital stuffs
Took a short trip (but long drive) to Kuala Lumpur last Friday to visit my brother there. As usual … the one having the biggest fun will be Fitzand and was so excited to meet with his cousin sister, Zaydeen again. The kids had big fun during those few days and Fitzand was so reluctant to come back to Singapore at the end of the trip. 🙁 They were playing outside and I saw them trying to fill a pail with water. I … started a water fight! Hahaha! Very… >> read more

Scanned The Rest

Written by • Nov 25th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
Finally done scanning the rest of the photos from my 1st roll of DIY developed black & white film (a roll of Neopan 400). You will find most of these are very random shots … ranging from puppies to chickens, from broken cups to wheelbarrows … as I was trying (very) hard to finish the roll during a trip to a relative’s place in Malaysia last weekend. I somehow ‘had to prepare’ a roll to try out DIY developing when I get back here and I am sure glad I… >> read more

LC-W Going All Over

Written by • Jul 11th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
This must be one of my ‘best travelled’ roll of film. Loaded in my LC-Wide … this 24 exposure roll of Sensia 400 followed me to Malaysia, went on a short shooting trip with me (and cyanwater) to Kampung Buangkok, accompanied me on a beer cum shooting session with Jimmy and then finally to an early dinner at Bottle Tree Village. Amazing how I can make 24 exposures last that long! Honestly … it was because I usually have more than one camera with me and couldn’t concentrate on finishing… >> read more

KL Trip : 2011

Written by • Jun 28th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
Sitting at home recovering from a pretty tiring (and stressful) short trip to Kuala Lumpur to visit my brother’s new addition to the family … his 2 months old little boy, Zayden. What almost killed me wasn’t the many hours of drive from Singapore … but the mental stress I had to go through during the drive. I picked up my parents from Batu Pahat (Johor) and they were yakking, nagging etc all the way … in the car. OMG. I couldn’t really drive peacefully and there were times I… >> read more

PX680 : The Last Few

Written by • Apr 20th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
My pack of Impossible Project’s PX680 Color Shade beta test film is finally empty after these. 🙁 Do I wanna buy more of these later? Hmm … I’m dying to finish the last 6 shots on my LC-A+ but somehow it seems very difficult lately. Hahahaha! Noreen would say ‘no soul!’ for sure. Anyway … I’m looking forward to the outing to the zoo with some friends on World Pinhole day. Hope I can fire a couple of rolls (120) on the Multi Pinhole Operator that day.… >> read more

Strip In Strips

Frankly … I was almost bored to death during my trip to Malaysia for the Lunar New Year recently. Luckily I managed to get my dad to make a trip to the store to get me a prepaid internet access SIM card. However … I was still super busy having to look after Fitzand and trying to recover from hangovers. 😛 In between these stuffs … I finished a roll of the Lomo Chrome 100 Xpro film (in a week). It was actually meant to be a roll of ‘first… >> read more

Ndroo Vs F & Z

Written by • Feb 8th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
Arrived back here in Singapore around dinner time. Spent almost a week in Malaysia with my folks … celebrating the Lunar New Year. The best part of this yearly celebration is always knowing that the two little ones (Fitzand and his cousin sister) are definitely gonna turn the house upside down with their noise/cries/laughter/shouts etc … and of course not forgetting the beer sessions with my brother. 😀 I tried to get some snapshots of the two little ones and I seriously find it super duper difficult to get them… >> read more

Positively Negative!

For those who love Lomography or old school analogue photography here in Singapore, finally the Malaysian made movie that you will love to check out is here! [The Negative Effect] is a light and easy, true to life documentary featuring a group of youngsters living in this new  digital age, yet being obsessed with old school analogue photography. Watch the journey of their dream, as they unite and travelled north to Penang Island just to shoot and organise a lo-fi photo exhibition called Gia Gia Kua Kua (which  literally means… >> read more

Deciding On The Decided

Written by • Jan 19th, 2011 • Category: Others
Stumbled upon some images of this Philip Stein watch from their ceramic collection online recently and decided to get one for wifey. Her birthday is still a month away but I decided to get it for her now anyway and hopefully she’ll like it. The guy at the boutique told me that the watch has Natural Frequency Technology inside (WTH is that?!) that helps give better sleep and relaxes the mind (really?). I asked if he has anything that helps one stay awake … and he offered me coffee. Duh!… >> read more

Yeah … Very Funny!

Written by • Jan 9th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
Cindy (aka Cyanwater) from ThirtySix gave Fitzand a Christmas present that he loved lots. It was a disposable camera called ‘LOL CAM’ and he wanted to use it the moment he ripped apart the box (in the car!). I managed to stop him and later taught him how to use it. Luckily his finger was long enough to reach the front to press (and hold) the flash button. I thought that roll of 24 exposure film wouldn’t last an hour … since I decided to just leave it to him… >> read more
