Drops Of Miracle

Written by • Jan 15th, 2013 • Category: Fun with film
This is a roll of Fujifilm Neopan 400 that I thought would never see the light of day. It is the 2nd test roll that I fed to the Ricoh GR21 in Japan and the roll was left in my drawer for months as I had run out of developer and just couldn’t find time to go replenish it. Last Sunday … I got a little crazy and there was this voice inside my head that told me to get the roll developed. The problem was … I still haven’t… >> read more

More ‘Now what?’ Photos

Written by • Dec 5th, 2012 • Category: Digital stuffs
Following the earlier set of ‘now what?’ photos … here are more of those photos that I took … and then had to try hard to convince myself to dig them out from the SD card, look at them and try pick a few to keep. Yeah … those landscape, cityscape and all those stuffs that somehow I ain’t too interested in photographing (but still guilty of doing so to cure my trigger happy fingers). I miss the cold! 🙁 Not only I can’t convince myself to stick to either… >> read more

More Lensbaby Fun In Japan

Written by • Nov 28th, 2012 • Category: Digital stuffs
Although I thought did not fire too many shots with the Lensbaby during this recent trip to Japan, I found quite a handful of images in my SD card. Maybe I was tripping the shutter in a daze! Here are a few more of them. This first one (below) was taken early one morning when I woke up (a little too) early at 7am. As I usually sleep very late … I should be still in bed … warm and comfy … but instead I chose to jump out of… >> read more

The MZ-S Roll From Tokyo

Written by • Nov 24th, 2012 • Category: Fun with film
Before the ‘arrival’ of the GR21 … I was planning to use only my Pentax MZ-S and a 50mm for all analogue photography. As I didn’t shoot much when I was in Yokohama (except digital ones), my fingers were given a treat when we moved to Tokyo. Many of these were taken in Disneyland as it was the first place we went to after leaving Yokohama. This is also a roll of expired Neopan 400 that I developed in the bathroom this morning. I made the right decision to bring… >> read more

Japan In Analogue (Roll 1)

Written by • Nov 22nd, 2012 • Category: Fun with film
Here’s the first roll of film from my vacation last week. I didn’t shoot many rolls as I was too busy entertaining the little one (as usual). If you have seen the video (of him) I posted … you can probably guess how busy I was … being his private videographer. Anyway … here’s a roll of long expired Sensia 400 cross processed. These were shot using my Pentax MZ-S which I lugged along … planning to buy a used lens for it … but ended up not doing so… >> read more

High In Japan 2012

Written by • Nov 21st, 2012 • Category: Digital stuffs
After 3 nights in Yokohama and 6 nights in Tokyo … here I am back in Singapore feeling more tired than ever. Travelling with a 5 year old who seems to be turbo charged with energy just isn’t easy. Here it is … a short video to prove just that. Fitzand was shaking his butt when I started taking a video clip of him in action … and from then 0n … he’ll insist I video him when he’s dancing … all over Japan! It is sometimes very frustrating as… >> read more

XF 18-55 Test Run

Written by • Nov 21st, 2012 • Category: Digital stuffs
There are just so many things I wanna do after arriving back here (at 5am!!!) … sending some rolls to the lab, testing the XF 18-55 lens on my X-Pro1, self-developing a few rolls of black & white film that I used to test the GR21, finish updating my blog layout and of course getting myself some good sleep. Most of these plans went up in ashes as Fitzand refused to take a nap and I after sending 2 rolls of slides to the lab for cross processing … I… >> read more

The Damages

Written by • Nov 17th, 2012 • Category: Toys
We decided to skip the trip to the Bandai museum as I read that it only opens to pubic on weekends and Fitzand is only interested to check out the Power Rangers stuffs. As an alternative, we brought him to Hakuhinkan Toy Park near Ginza … one of the largest and best toy stores here in Tokyo. As expected … he was complaining about the long walk and train rides but this time a lot less because I promised to buy him toys. 😀 He saw many of his favourite… >> read more

The ‘Now What?’ Shots

Written by • Nov 15th, 2012 • Category: Digital stuffs
Very often I get bored and whip out my camera for some random shots. Then I’ll go back … look at them and go ‘now what?!’. That’s one big problem I have because I do not know what to do with many of the images I shoot. Most of them will involve landscapes though. Hahaha! Since I’m killing some time now while gulping a beer in the hotel room (Fitzand has gone to bed … phew!) … I ‘forced’ myself to upload a few of these ‘now what?’ photos. This… >> read more

Smelly & Sexy

Written by • Jun 7th, 2011 • Category: Toys
I am guilty of probably owning more bags than my wife and after a long search for a leather bag that is old, still in good condition, of the right size, smelling bad and doesn’t look too ‘wow’ … my prayers were answered when the famous Mijonju (you must be shot if you love analogue/toy cameras and do not know him already but anyway … he’s the famous young man who gives us The Mijonju Show) put this old leather bag (one that he bought used too) up for sale.… >> read more
