Korea 2013 In Analogue

Written by • Apr 23rd, 2013 • Category: Lead Story
Despite my attempt to shoot more rolls of film this trip,  I ended up coming back with only a couple of rolls. This first roll is a Lomography Tunsten 64 cross processed and shot using my precious Ricoh GR21. To be honest … I am trying hard to get back my trigger happy ways. I had my LC-A+ with me but it saw only a handful of exposures before going back into my bag. I think I might have just picked the right film to load … as the cherry… >> read more

Leftover T64

A leftover roll from a recent short outing with Cyanwater. Shot using my Bronica ETRSi with the 135W back … and a roll of Lomography X Tungsten 64 fim … * click on these images for a larger version I’m pretty addicted to using this camera with the 35mm back but today … I decided to whip out my 220 film back and loaded a roll of negatives it in. That’s one of the few rolls of 220 film I have … given to me by the guy who sold… >> read more

Pretty In Pink & Purple

Ran over to ThirtySix a few days before my Hong Kong trip to pick up a pack of the Lomography X Tungsten 64 film … thinking I could give it a test run during the trip. Unfortunately I was too busy entertaining my little one that I hardly had the time (and mood) to shoot much. Anyway … here are the photos from the roll of Tungsten film. As per what I read & saw online … this film is pretty cool … with a little randomness when it comes… >> read more

The Pocket Cam

Compact cameras like the Natura Classica ain’t exactly compact to me. That’s because they won’t fit into my pocket (although empty 🙁 ) easily. Some months ago I picked up an used GR10 that was in minty condition for slightly less than S$200 and decided to use that as my everyday camera that I can bring around … and be my workhorse. I know there are some yummier alternatives like the GR21 (damn … I saw someone selling one lately) or the GR1v … but I need something cheap, something… >> read more

36 Frames : II [ndroo]

Written by • Aug 23rd, 2009 • Category: Thirty Six Frames
Once bitten twice shy. I remember very clearly the crazy rush to finish the roll of film for the first ’36 Frames’ challenge … because I was too busy and lazy to do it earlier. The roll turned out to be quite a disaster. This time … for the 2nd challenge … I decided to do it earlier but somehow haven’t figured out what to shoot. The same subject over 36 frames? Suddenly it all seemed so difficult. Hahaha. Inspiration came one evening when Fitzand was munching his apple. Eureka!… >> read more

Pop & Stars

Written by • Aug 2nd, 2009 • Category: Fun with film
Woke up this morning and was greeted by a SMS from Jimmy (of 8storeytree.com) telling me that I’ve won a POP9 camera in the Lomography + Jones Soda Competition – Pop 09 contest (week 3)! Yay!!! I’ve always wanted to own one of these cameras but somehow I managed to put off buying it for years already. Someone once gave me a ‘almost-dead’ one and I ‘dressed it up’ (check it out here) but too bad the flash is spoilt and the cover comes apart too easily. I must thank… >> read more

Hong Kong Randoms #1

Written by • Apr 6th, 2009 • Category: Fun with film
My first roll of randoms taken last week in Hong Kong. These are taken using my Lomo LC-A+ with a roll of Tungsten 160 film (cross processed). Not my first time trying out tungsten film but the first time the photos look acceptable (to me). The previous roll of T160 film I took in Malaysia some months ago … sucked bad! Couldn’t find no Instax film inside. Duh! Just props! A short drizzle didn’t spoil the fun My favorite double exposure shot Confrontation. It was amusing seeing how this guy… >> read more
