A roll of Ilford HP5 was loaded into the GA645wi for my very first encounter with black & white film. I’ve previously tried C41 black & white (eg. Ilford XP2) but I was told there’s nothing like the real thing. Real thing? Do they mean the C41 ones are fake? If they ain’t real, then what the hell are they? Smaller versions of brown colored toilet rolls? Human are complex creatures.<\/p>\n
So here they are, some snapshots on a sunny day at Changi beach. Nothing too ‘wow’ about the photos but I think I’m addicted to black & white! Some Photoshop ‘guru’ told me it’s pretty pointless shooting black & white film when you can easily emulate the looks and feel on your computer but I’d prefer spending more time taking photos (and drinking beer) than sitting for hours in front of a computer.
