Right? Hahaha. Okay, I’ll try get back to film and plastic cams this weekend. Anyway … my Pen F to M43 adapter arrived today. Luckily it is way thinner than the EF – M43 one and fits nicely between my E-P1 and an old F Zuiko 38mm f1.8 lens from my Olympus Pen F. So does the lens work okay on the E-P1?

I didn’t have much time to test it out just now and only took these few to at least know if it works.

The good old lens fits nicely on the E-P1 but too bad the lens ain’t white in colour.

With the 2X crop factor, the E-P1 makes this 38mm lens a little too long but I think it will be good for some closeups or portraits. The only problem is … how on earth do I turn on the MF Assist (enlarged view) on the E-P1 when I’m in Manual Focus mode? I know that if I use lenses meant for the cam, I can just switch to Manual Focus mode and the display will automatically be enlarged when I’m manual focusing to help my fuzzy old eyes see better. The problem is that when old lenses like this 38mm are mounted with an adapter … the MF Assist view doesn’t seem to appear … even when I tried toggling the various views by pressing the ‘INFO’ button. Hmm. I browsed the user manual but don’t seem to find the answer to it. Maybe I’ll go bug those people in the forums tomorrow and see if anyone can help.

You must be going ‘Not another blog entry about his E-P1!!!!’.
