I am trying to post this as soon as possible and then grab some sleep before waking up about 5 hours later to catch the first sunrise of the year. Half an hour ago, I was standing at my window with my Canon SX1is mounted on the tripod trying to catch some shots of the fireworks. I was too darn lazy to use my DSLR and furthermore I&#8217;ve sold off all my tele lenses and I needed the reach with the zoom in the SX1is.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter\" src=\"http:\/\/www.ndroo.com\/blog\/wp-content\/gallery\/fireworks-from-home-ny-eve-2010-sx1is\/1.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"600\" height=\"338\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">Being super lazy, I decided to switch on the scene mode and picked &#8216;fireworks mode&#8217; &#8230; then pray I&#8217;ll get at least a couple of (quite) decent shots. Surprisingly with this &#8230; I managed to get some of the better looking fireworks shots I&#8217;ve done so far. Hahaha! Not that I&#8217;ve shot many though. I&#8217;m usually hiding at home and shooting them from my window because I&#8217;m afraid of the crowd. The last time I was on location to shoot fireworks &#8230; it was crazy!
