Took some time off from baby sitting and spent a couple of hours with friends for a short shoot. Finally I can finish my test roll on the recent 35Ti I picked up … and as a matter of fact, I even got to finish another roll on it! Perhaps it’s because I’ve not been shooting film for a short while … my trigger-happy finger just couldn’t stop. \ud83d\ude00 Weather was crazy! It was so damn hot that we almost gave up shooting.<\/p>\n

The first test roll was a roll of Solaris 400. I’m begining to like this film lots but it’s a little pricey.<\/p>\n

With the 35Ti, now I’ve found a perfect ‘husband’ for the wider Fujifilm Klasse W that I sometimes find the 28mm lens not suitable for certain scenes. Now they can both work hand in hand … happily ever after.<\/p>\n

The 35Ti has also this ‘panorama’ option … which actually done (commonly) through masking off the top and bottom part of the photo. I used to find it pretty silly (I can crop it myself!) but after giving it a try … I am finding it rather fun! This means I can frame my shots and leave them as they are instead of sitting behind the computer deciding how to crop them.<\/p>\n

Next roll is a Fujichrome MS 10\/1000\u00a0cross-processed. I love the yellow feel it gives and for those photos with red subjects … they simply pop! Gosh! Another film I fell in love with? Arghhh!!! I don’t remember my previous roll being this yellow but … ermmm … maybe due to different lighting?<\/p>\n

It was hell hot when we got there (after the Kranji War Memorial). We had to take a short break … grabbed some cold drinks (not beer!) and some snacks before we could continue shooting.<\/p>\n

You will also see some shots from the hip that probably look like they came out of a LC-A camera. Haha! Well I guess I’ll need to work harder on shooting from the hip with this camera.<\/p>\n

This is my favourite shot from this 2nd roll. It ain’t well focused … it ain’t sharp at all … but I love it!<\/p>\n

After these test rolls, I must confess that I love this camera lots and lots! Really glad I bit the bullet and bought it and I don’t foresee myself letting it go in the near future. Next I’ll try loading a roll of black & white film on it and see how it goes.<\/p>\n

So far, the only problem I have with this camera is the auto flash. I’ve not been able to set the auto flash off permanently, perhaps I should read the manual again and re-attempt at it soon. Without setting the auto flash permanently off, I’ll have to press a little button on the left side of the camera before I take a shot … just to make sure the flash won’t fire. Having the flash fire at the wrong time (eg. street shooting) might get me killed someday. Hahaha!<\/p>\n
