Compact cameras like the Natura Classica ain’t exactly compact to me. That’s because they won’t fit into my pocket (although empty \ud83d\ude41 ) easily. Some months ago I picked up an used GR10 that was in minty condition for slightly less than S$200 and decided to use that as my everyday camera that I can bring around … and be my workhorse. I know there are some yummier alternatives like the GR21 (damn … I saw someone selling one lately) or the GR1v … but I need something cheap, something pretty capable, something I can just press the shutter button and not think about anything … and\u00a0 something really compact. The GR10 seemed to fit the criterias!<\/p>\n

It took me a while to run a test roll through it and the recent trip to Universal Studios was a great opportunity to burn some shots on it.<\/p>\n

The GR10 ain’t exactly a pretty camera (mine is the silver one) …and I didn’t even have the mood to take a photo of it to post here. Hahaha! It is a fully automatic compact camera with a 28mm f2.8 lens. Perhaps it is because of the full auto that made it less famous than its other GR cousins.<\/p>\n

I could have easily burned another few rolls at the Universal Studios but since it was a family trip … I held back my trigger happy habit and dedicated most of the time to them.<\/p>\n

By the way … this is a roll of expired Kodak Ektachrome EPR 64T. I pretty like this film for xpro as it produces a little different result under different lighting. The only headache is that being an ISO64 film … I’ll either have to use a bright lens or shoot in bright sunlight. Honestly I was a little worried when I took those shots in Chinatown (see gallery below). It was in the morning and lighting wasn’t good. I somehow just fired away with one hand and only realised that I had such a low ISO film in it. LOL! Glad they turned out fine.<\/p>\n

After this roll … I’m gonna go get some of the light seal in the GR10 replaced and then make it my everyday (film) camera from now on. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n

Enjoy the rest of the roll while I go get some sleep. Gotta wake up early tomorrow to attend a seminar on effective communications. Zzzzzzzz …<\/p>\n
