Our friendly (not very pocket-friendly though) people from ThirtySix buzzed me and told me that they reserved one for me (!!!) and stocks were in … the week before I flew off to Taiwan for my vacation. So I dropped by the shop, picked up the Sprocket Rocket (darn long name and I’ll just call it Rocket from now on) and decided to bring it along (for the trip) to test it out.

After a week and a couple of rolls, I am beginning to get used to the Rocket. Despite the fact that I didn’t shoot much during this trip, I still managed to pop in a few rolls of film into the Rocket and happily fired away. Well … I suck bad at gauging metering and I had to pray hard that some of the photos will turn out fine.

Collected the rolls from the lab this afternoon, I was (a little) happy that some of them did turn out okay. It is pretty bulky (but still managed to squeeze into my empty pocket). So do I like the Rocket? I must say after a while, I’m beginning to like it more. The only thing I wish it had was the capability to shoot in bulb mode without having to hold on to the shutter ‘button’.

I think I might have another roll from the Rocket that I’ll scan tomorrow.
