Took me hell lot of courage to put an end to this old Leader camera’s life. Before you start cursing me … gimme a few seconds to explain … really.<\/p>\n
This beautiful old Leader camera that I bought from Lomography not long ago was ‘ill’. Very ‘ill’. Not only the paint on the front silver ring was peeling and some rust was present, the film advance was so tight (rust?) that I had to use lots of strength to turn it (even without film!). The ‘switch’ between the normal and bulb mode also required me to use something like a coin or key to push it, else my fingers are gonna hurt. So … I wrote to Lomography who happily (!!) asked me to destroy the camera, take some photos of it, send them the photos and they’ll send me a new one immediately. Sounds fair enough since they are running a business but I was told to try use some ‘different’ method to ‘kill’ the camera instead of just smashing it against the floor\/wall etc.<\/p>\n
I locked my study room door … took out some tools and managed to do this to the camera without sheding a tear. To be honest … it kinda hurt each time I drove a screw into it. \ud83d\ude41<\/p>\n
