Wikipedia defines it as &#8216;<em>a device used to focus light. Unlike lenses however, zone plates use diffraction instead of refraction<\/em>&#8216;. Damn. Is that rocket science or am I just stupid? Anyway, nevermind. I was more curious about what kind of photos they can produce. Looked at some samples taken with the Lensbaby zone plate &#8216;lens&#8217;, I knew it&#8217;s something I&#8217;ll love! Blur! Fuzzy! Screwed up! Cool! Today&#8217;s Lensbaby Diary entry is taken using this rather bizzarre &#8216;lens&#8217;. I took opportunity of the long exposure (not as long as the darn pinhole though) to fire a few rounds of my Colorsplash flash using different color gels.
