Gizmon Half D : 1st Look

Written by • Aug 1st, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
I borrowed this little cute and sexy Gizmon Half D digital toy camera from Jimmy last week to have a feel of how it works. One look and most analogue cam lovers will know that the design is very much like the Olympus Pen F series of wonderful half frame cameras from the past but this one is super duper small (and cute!). There are several lens attachments but I’ve yet to try them on the camera. They are attached by simply placing them on the front of the lens.… >> read more

LC-W Going All Over

Written by • Jul 11th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
This must be one of my ‘best travelled’ roll of film. Loaded in my LC-Wide … this 24 exposure roll of Sensia 400 followed me to Malaysia, went on a short shooting trip with me (and cyanwater) to Kampung Buangkok, accompanied me on a beer cum shooting session with Jimmy and then finally to an early dinner at Bottle Tree Village. Amazing how I can make 24 exposures last that long! Honestly … it was because I usually have more than one camera with me and couldn’t concentrate on finishing… >> read more

Pop Goes The Rocket

Written by • Jul 8th, 2011 • Category: Others
There is no doubt that the Sprocket Rocket is one fun camera and after turning my original black version gold (as a birthday present), I bought the white edition as I thought it looks neat. Now Lomography has gone wild again by turning this sleek camera … ermm … very colorful. This somehow reminds me of what they did to their Fisheye camera in the past but I’m sure some of you might love the very ‘hot’ colors. I like the orange version. No … I am NOT gonna buy… >> read more

X-100 All Dressed Up

Written by • May 23rd, 2011 • Category: Toys
Finally time to post some photos of my X-100 … all ‘dressed up’ and looking pretty. Yeah I know … I know … it ain’t a rangefinder but just a ‘Casio rangefinder’ (a friend calls it that) that tries to look like a retro camera. 😀 Let’s not go there. Sorry if the colors of the case looks different in all the photos. Hahaha! I was in a rush to go fetch my boy from school and had only 5 minutes to snap some photos without much time to mess… >> read more

World Pinhole Day 2011

Written by • Apr 25th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
It was a super crazy hot day at the zoo yesterday as I joined some friends there for a World Pinhole Day outing. To make things worse, I had Fitzand with me and he was distracting me so often when I was trying to count the number of seconds whenever I start exposing the shots. Hahaha! Stressed! ‘Best’ of all was when I loaded the roll of 120 into the Multi Pinhole Operator … it (the film) suddenly snapped before I managed to advance to frame #1. Argh!!! Luckily I… >> read more

Strip In Strips

Written by • Feb 13th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
Frankly … I was almost bored to death during my trip to Malaysia for the Lunar New Year recently. Luckily I managed to get my dad to make a trip to the store to get me a prepaid internet access SIM card. However … I was still super busy having to look after Fitzand and trying to recover from hangovers. 😛 In between these stuffs … I finished a roll of the Lomo Chrome 100 Xpro film (in a week). It was actually meant to be a roll of ‘first… >> read more

Pushing It

Written by • Jan 17th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
Fed my SX-70 with a pack of PX70 Color Shade PUSH film that I bought recently and after figuring out what I need to do to ‘push’ … I gave it a go. Somehow I still prefer the Artistic Z film but well … I was curious … I like the cool black cover it spits out. 😛 This one above is the first shot. I was a little shocked when the film ‘spit out’ from the camera was blue (on the image area). Took quite a while and finally… >> read more

It Is Still Christmas!!!

Written by • Jan 8th, 2011 • Category: Toys
Christmas is over? That’s what I thought until I went down to ThirtySix to collect my ‘girls’ after the recent Diana F+ showcase there. I went home … opened up the box … and in it was something I don’t remember passing to them. It was a box … sized like a normal Diana one … but wrapped up in some nice Lomography gift wrapper. Hmm. I thought it was a prank by those guys there but I almost screamed in excitement when I opened it up! It was a… >> read more

For You, ThirtySix

Written by • Oct 17th, 2010 • Category: Others
Just the other day when those guys from ThirtySix told me that they will be celebrating their shop’s 1st anniversary today … I thought of giving them a little present. Well I’m sure they have all the yummy cameras already on the shelves … so I decided to try ‘dress up’ a camera for them. The biggest problem was to come up with a design/idea immediately … then spend a night or two doing it. I had only a few nights to do it. Panic! Panic! I didn’t have time… >> read more

Go Fly Kite!

Written by • Sep 18th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
It was a last minute decision to bring Fitzand to check out the Kite Festival 2010 at the Promontory @ Marina Bay. Unfortunately the parking there was crazy (car parks were full!) and we decided to spend the evening at the Marina Barrage instead. Well … there are tons of people flying kites there anyway. We bought Fitzand a rainbow kite (he wanted a Mickey one but the girl at the counter told us that it is pretty darn hard to get that one to fly) and my heart was… >> read more
