Don’t Be Naked!

Written by • Mar 26th, 2010 • Category: Others
After seeing how more people are putting some effort to ‘dress up’ their cameras, I decided to start a page in Facebook to house images of the many wonderful, cool, crazy, weird, funky, cute or sometimes bizarre looking cameras … for everyone to enjoy. Was pretty surprised to find that the number of fans hit over a hundred overnight! Photos are coming in real fast too and I do hope these photos can inspire more people to start dressing up their cameras. After all … naked cameras suck! As I’m… >> read more

The Tiny Temptation

Written by • Mar 18th, 2010 • Category: Others
It was in 2007, during a trip to Japan … that on a cold (very cold!) night … I walked into a shop and bought the Minox DCC5.0. That was after struggling for a while with myself … trying to decide if I should buy one. Eventually the dark side won and soon the little cutie was in my hands. It is the year 2010 now and I think I have used the camera … for maybe less than 10 times! Nothing too big deal about that until this came… >> read more

Cherry Coke Cam!

Written by • Mar 11th, 2010 • Category: Toys
After avoiding e(vil)Bay for a long long time, I finally went in to lurk around lately because I have some money in my PayPal account. Came across this tiny Cherry Coca-cola 110 camera and it was going for about US$1.50 … and so I placed my bid for it and waited. Somehow nobody seemed interested in this little old cutie and so I won it! Yipee! Now I have another old Coke camera to add to my collection. I remember getting all ‘addicted’ to these old Coke cameras years before… >> read more

Cutie And Yummy

After the recent cool ‘gold metal’ skin by Gariz for the Olympus E-P1, along comes a super cute and colorful one that I find very very interesting. A little too cute for an old man like me and if I ever get my E-P1 dressed up like this … it will definitely end up in Fitzand’s hands for good. The same company also has a big time poison which I am very afraid of. It is a tilt-shift adapter for the E-P1/E-P2. The website is in Japanese but I think… >> read more

Smiley Half A Frame

Written by • Feb 24th, 2010 • Category: Others
Erik sent me this info about a new Holga camera called the Holga 135TIM. One look and I started to smile. Here’s a photo of it … Hello Spongebob! According to infomation found online, this is a half frame camera and as you can see from the front (makes me smile everytime I look at it), the two eyes seem to be the lenses. From the looks, it probably allows you to open either ‘eye’ to expose half a frame each time, and maybe opening both of them will give… >> read more

Clink And Clank!

The pair of little cymbals I bought for Fitzand a very long time ago … was put to a major test this Chinese New Year. In the past, he will wanna play with it occasionally but ever since he’s been seeing one too many lion dance performance … he’s banging ’em almost every day. Yeah … the noise drives us crazy sometimes but at least he enjoys doing it. Yesterday evening, while on a short walk around the neighborhood, he suddenly whipped out his cymbals (on standby in his Tigger… >> read more

Zumi2 Back In Action

Written by • Feb 20th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
It always take me way too long to compile enough video clips from the Harinezumi 2 camera to create a decent length one. After the recent Chinese New Year break, I finally have enough to fill up a little video and found some time off to piece them together … Apart from the video clips, of course there are some still images taken by that cute little camera. Someone approached me when I was using it recently … and he asked if the Harinezumi is the kind of camera used… >> read more

A Kiddy New Year

Written by • Feb 19th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
As expected, most of the photos I took during the trip to Malaysia during the Chinese New Year were photos of Fitzand and his cousin sister, Zaydeen. I am sure they had a great time playing (and fighting!) together, munching lots of cookies and sweets, playing with fire crackers and of course clowning around with my family members. I came back with a stack of snapshots of them and after the kiddos from the childcare came visiting this morning, Fitzand fell asleep a while ago and I found time to… >> read more

Red Hot In Pink?

Written by • Jan 27th, 2010 • Category: Others
After the Diana F+ got a pink coat of paint and a weird name like ‘Mr. Pink’, next in line is the Fisheye 2. Lomography decided that it is time to turn this cool fisheye camera into a ‘Miss Pinky’ (not the name they call it though) … just in time for Valentine’s day. Guess lots of guys will be getting this sexy camera for their girlfriends and wives eh? Nah … not me. My wife will say that it’s just an excuse to get it for myself. 😛 We… >> read more

New Cute Digital Toy!

Written by • Jan 19th, 2010 • Category: Toys
Cashing in on the toy camera craze, there seems to be more small/tiny cameras appearing in the scene. So far … I think the Digital Harinezumi has done pretty well compared to the rest. The pretty new kids on the block are some very small sized cameras with a boring name … “FDC01”. They come in either blue or red (looks more like pink to me) … and like the VistaQuest cameras … they are supposed to be ‘keychain cameras’. I was told that it is called the ‘SQ28m’ in… >> read more
