Double Processed Rocket

Written by • Mar 2nd, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
Something pretty funny (and scary) happened at the photo lab today when I dropped by to collect a roll of Provia 400X shot with my Sprocket Rocket recently. I usually lurk outside the lab until the boss gives me the thumbs up … then I’ll crawl in only when the processing is ready. Today … while I was having a puff outside the lab … the boss appeared suddenly with a small pail … and in it was a the entire roll of developed negatives (the one I sent it!).… >> read more

Warm Night, Cold Noods

After selling off my DSLR body yesterday, I managed to let go my macro lens this evening. This means I’ve only 2 more lenses to sell before I am officially ‘DSLRless’. Some of you might wonder what on earth happened to me because I’ve not been touching film for a couple of weeks already. Well I did shoot a couple of rolls but they were all for double exposure collaborations which I’ve yet to send to my partners … so you have not been seeing any film shots lately. Today I decided to take a short break in the afternoon and joined a friend for a short walk around Club St for some fun. These were shot using a roll of… >> read more

Pop & Stars

Written by • Aug 2nd, 2009 • Category: Fun with film
Woke up this morning and was greeted by a SMS from Jimmy (of 8storeytree.com) telling me that I’ve won a POP9 camera in the Lomography + Jones Soda Competition – Pop 09 contest (week 3)! Yay!!! I’ve always wanted to own one of these cameras but somehow I managed to put off buying it for years already. Someone once gave me a ‘almost-dead’ one and I ‘dressed it up’ (check it out here) but too bad the flash is spoilt and the cover comes apart too easily. I must thank… >> read more
