Almost the end of a great Saturday! After meeting up with some friends to arrange for a short getaway next month, we dropped by to check out a cool exhibition titled FACES by Miun (aka Noreen) at The Little Dorm store. We were supposed to be there at 3pm but the little one fell asleep in the car and I had to wait for him while he enjoy his nap in the carpark. We arrived at the exhibition at 4pm and was told that it closes at 430pm! Phew! Glad… >> read more

From the hands of the very talented friend, Noreen (aka Miun) … the artist who made me my coffin *cough* … here comes a very interesting exhibition that I thought many of you might be interested. I’ll be checking it out this coming weekend with my family and perhaps pick up an eye or two … or perhaps a mouth or nose? the little drom store presents ‘F A C E S’ by illustrator/artist Miun Faces is an interactive, conceptual artwork exploring human faces. Limited hand-sewn eye, nose and mouth… >> read more

For those who are interested in picking up a rangefinder camera or those who are just curious about what a rangefinder is all about, there will be a rangefinder introduction showcase and talk on the 6th August 2010 at the Glass Hall, Singapore Art Museum. I ain’t part of this community (yet) because I ain’t got no rangefinder camera … but just helping a friend spread the word (and poison). 😀 I’m wondering if I can find time to attend it but at the same time … I’m worried about… >> read more

Instant Back @ SSC

Yes there will be some photos I took using the LC-A+ and the instant back in this post. They will be at the end of this entry … just in case you are wondering why on earth you don’t see them after scrolling (a bit) down. I’ll leave them at the end of the post to make sure you see my digital ones. Hahaha! Nah! Joking. Anyway … since there is this Pixar’s ’20 years of animation’ going on at the Science Center, we decided to bring Fitzand there for… >> read more

It Starts With A Can

Written by • Apr 8th, 2010 • Category: Others
These are probably the strangest things that arrived at my home today while I was at work … Nah! I didn’t order Red Bull by the tons (although I do need tons of beer). These empty cans arrived today because I signed up for the Art Of Can event (details here) and was supposed to go collect these empty cans from their office … but somehow I just didn’t wanna take time off from work just to go get them. Yeah … collection was during office hours only. Fortunately I… >> read more

Another Busy Saturday

Written by • Feb 6th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
Woke up this morning and was greeted by a message on my phone … saying that there will be a ‘photo clinic session’ (more like a talk/intro) about film/toy camera photography at Orchard Central, organized by ThirtySix. Well who wouldn’t wanna go take a look at what Jimmy (the boss) has to say, so I brought my family (yeah … the entire army to go support!) to check out the session at 3:30pm. Here’s a couple of shots taken at the ‘photo clinic session’. Click on the image below for… >> read more

Game Over etc.

Written by • May 1st, 2009 • Category: Fun with film
Game Over Took me quite a while to make this decision to finally give up on my Lensbaby Diary project. Life has got much busier and I can’t afford to continue taking a Lensbaby a photo a day. Lugging my DSLR to work is getting to taxing because I’ll need to carry my notebook bag, a camera bag as well as Fitzand’s school back when I pick him up from childcare. It’s pretty sad that I have to abort this project at least for this year. It was fun for… >> read more

Colette : Press rel.

Written by • Feb 14th, 2009 • Category: Others
Received an email from Lomography with the official press release of the Colette special edition Diana F+ camera and also the Colette exhibition in Paris. It also contained some PDF files of some pages from the ‘Through a woman’s lens’ book. The special edition Diana F+ camera does remind me of the Hong Meow edition which has a black bottom and white top. The only difference I see are some cute blue dots on it. Not sure if the flash is white or black (like the Hong Meow) because the… >> read more

Monkey business?

Written by • Feb 10th, 2009 • Category: Others
Ain’t no monkey business but a photo of a monkey. Not a real monkey but a little cute soft toy monkey that Fitzand plays with. This photo taken with my Diana F+ camera, not only was one of those photos that won me a personalized Colette edition Diana F+ camera … but I was just informed thru email that it has been selected for a Colette exhibition soon. As I’m typing this, my darn slow lousy computer is crawling like never before because I’m sending a 10MB size file of… >> read more
