Partner For My 50mm

Written by • Oct 11th, 2011 • Category: Toys
After some waiting … finally found a small & solid SLR to partner my 50mm manual lens. Some local seller eventually lowered his asking price for this minty Pentax LX … and the green covering on it is a bonus! 😀 “It is a SLR which has its body structure made of rugged, die cast aluminum-alloy and equipped with a very reliable horizontally traveled Titanium electro-mechanical shutter, which provides a range of variable mechanical shutter speeds that will still be functional and withstanding temperatures down to -30C even in a… >> read more

Rocketing In Taiwan : 2

The last roll from the Sprocket Rocket for the trip. As the weather/lighting was pretty crazy/bad, loading a roll of Lomo Xpro 200 slides on the Rocket was a little risky. Fortunately we were in Taichung during that time and the sun was (a little bit) more ‘helpful’. Still there were some ‘forced doubles’ due to bad lighting. Glad most of the shots turned out fine. 😀 I kinda like the doubles in this roll! Fitzand posing with his new soft toy and train … After finish scanning this roll… >> read more

The Getaway : The Lomo

Written by • Sep 7th, 2010 • Category: Fun with film
No getaway is complete without lugging along an analogue cam. The LC-A+ plus a roll of Lomo Xpro 200 slides were my snapshot buddies during last weekend’s visit to the Universal Studios and here are some random cross-processed shots … This is the first time I’m trying this xpro film and I was expecting lots of yellow and green from it. Surprisingly some of the shots turned out with some other colors still ‘intact’. I kinda realise that my LC-A+ now acts a little weird. Exposures are like all over.… >> read more

Dolly? Really?

UPDATE Oh damn! I must be getting old! I was told that this is actually last year’s April Fool joke! OMG! Sorry for the false alarm. It is an April’s Fool joke or is it real? We won’t know for sure. Saw in Lomography Japan’s website that there is this new Dolly Diana F+ camera. Looks pretty cute but this ain’t a good day to believe what we see. 😀 It has been a while since the last Diana F+ clone appeared … so … ermmm … I’m actually hoping… >> read more

Don’t Be Naked!

Written by • Mar 26th, 2010 • Category: Others
After seeing how more people are putting some effort to ‘dress up’ their cameras, I decided to start a page in Facebook to house images of the many wonderful, cool, crazy, weird, funky, cute or sometimes bizarre looking cameras … for everyone to enjoy. Was pretty surprised to find that the number of fans hit over a hundred overnight! Photos are coming in real fast too and I do hope these photos can inspire more people to start dressing up their cameras. After all … naked cameras suck! As I’m… >> read more

Trick Or Treat?

Written by • Oct 30th, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
Few days ago, I was kinda surprised when Fitzand told me ‘Friday we are going to collect sweets!’ when I fetched him from the childcare. It took me a while to realise that they are probably going trick-or-treating today. Hahahaha. Then the next day, we got a note from the childcare informing us that they are arranging the kiddos to go trick-or-treating and want us to get some costume and stuffs for him. Fun! According to the teachers, they have already pre-planned everything and those neighbourhood shops that will be… >> read more

Stormtrooper Combo

Written by • Jul 31st, 2009 • Category: Toys
Nevermind this lousy Photoshopped attempt I did below. Hehehe. It’s just that this little thing I did to my E-P1 that somehow remind me of the Stormtroopers and I couldn’t help but put my very lousy Photoshop skills to use … just to amuse myself. So what the hell did I do to my E-P1? After an attempt at making a Diana lens for it (which works pretty well, pending more test shots), I decided to try using my Lomo Colorsplash flash on it. Bad news. It doesn’t fire. Apparently… >> read more
