LC-Wide + Instax + Flash!

Written by • Jul 15th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
I don’t remember anything mentioned in the instruction manual about using flash with the LC-A+/LC-Wide instant back and being a curious fat cat … I mounted the Colorsplash flash on the LC-Wide this evening to see how it performs. It is a little tricky mounting the flash with the Instant Back on (I couldn’t remove the back because I have a pack of film it in) but that’s just a small challenge. I went ‘WHOAAA!’ when I saw the results! It looks a little … or rather … very crazy!… >> read more

Another weekend coming to an end and my battery is pretty much flat … with just enough juice to post this entry … then off to bed. Met up with some friends at Farmart this evening … enjoyed some … ermm … ‘fermented malt & barley’ in the bright daylight as well as munching some yummies. Fitzand had big fun feeding goats too! Jimmy (from ThirtySix) gave me an Instant Kit for the Lomo LC-Wide and since I had my instant back with me … I burned slightly over a… >> read more

Week Ending 23rd May

Written by • May 24th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
Finally I have a bit of time to sit down and update my blog after a very busy weekend. I was recovering from a (bad!) hangover this morning and thank God after some many litres of fruit juice … I’m okay now. This entry is gonna be quite long because I’m trying to squeeze all the stuffs (and photos) into just one entry. It must be because I’m old and outdated … little did I know that kiddo shoes now come with built-in racing cars. Yeah! Cars inside! Hahaha! I… >> read more

Lo Batt -.-

My battery is running very low now as I’m typing this. After having one too many beer last night and waking up early morning to bring my family to the zoo … I haven’t really got any rest since my eyes opened this morning. We had great time at the zoo but unfortunately the ‘Mini Explorer’ thingie which we usually rent to cart Fitzand around was ‘out of stock’. That caused me to be his replacement ‘vehicle’ at the zoo and after about 5 hours there … I drove home… >> read more

Instant Multi Pinhole

Written by • Jun 28th, 2009 • Category: Fun with film
Ever since the few pretty successful rolls on the Diana Multi Pinhole camera, I’ve always wondered how it will be when paired with the Diana Instant Back. I’ve always wasted quite some film when using the Instant Back, so now coupling it with the pinhole camera is of course (to me) a much higher risk … but a risk I’ve to take to find out if I’ll end up with lots of under/over exposed shots meant to fly straight to the garbage bin. Loaded a pack of Instax Mini film… >> read more

Instant Death

Written by • Apr 25th, 2009 • Category: Others
I hate doing this but again … I had to take a deep breath and send another one of my toy to hell. This time it’s the Diana Instant Back that I bought recently. From some photos I took in Hong Kong, I realised that there are ‘hotspots’ in the center of the photos I took outdoors … especially on sunny days. Checked the internet and found some people complaining about this in Flickr and apparently Lomography has acknowledged this problem and have already ‘redesigned’ a new batch of ‘correction’… >> read more

Instant Diana in HK

Written by • Apr 2nd, 2009 • Category: Fun with film
I tried very hard to finish scanning all the photos taken using the Diana F+ camera with the new Instax back … but I think I am falling asleep soon. Will just stop here for the night eventhough I do not have many shots left to scan. Took some medication for allergy and the darn label says it might cause drowsiness. Damn. Wonder why they don’t have such warnings on beer bottles eh? Taken during arrival in HK … the virgin shot! Do I look like some freaky alien? I… >> read more

Over! :(

Written by • Apr 2nd, 2009 • Category: Fun with film
It’s finally over. My short vacation that is. A week in Hong Kong, doing nothing much except playing with Fitzand, eating and drinking … and of course snapping away whenever I have the opportunity. The Instax instant back for the Diana camera is way too addictive and I ended up buying a few more packs of the film in HK. Luckily they were cheaper than those here but I didn’t buy some back for ‘spares’ because our luggages were mostly occupied by Mickey Mouse and friends. I’ll try find time… >> read more
