Bending In Japan 2012 (Part 1)

Written by • Nov 12th, 2012 • Category: Digital stuffs
Finally I’ve got internet connection (if I excluded the one I got at the pub last night)! Was putting up at a friend’s place in Yokohama and she don’t recall her Wifi password … and thus I was ‘disabled’ for a couple of days. Now that we’ve checked in at Prince Grand Resort, Hakone … a lovely hotel that we’ll be just stay for one night … I’m gonna make good use of the internet access and update my blog. You might notice some layout change in my blog. I… >> read more

The ‘311 We Care’ Strap

Written by • Aug 26th, 2012 • Category: Toys
I was eyeing this white special edition strap from Wotancraft + Annie Barton 1972 that a seller was giving away with the purchase of his Wotancraft bag. I have a Wotancraft bag and didn’t want to buy another (I’m broke!), so I decided to just forget about the strap some time ago. Great news is that recently a friend wanted to get that bag from the seller … but the bag was already sold … but the strap was still available! So I promptly (!) contacted the seller and bought… >> read more

Me vs Developing Tank

Written by • Nov 23rd, 2011 • Category: Others
After years of hesitation, I was finally convinced to give DIY film development of black & white film a go. All thanks to Jimmy who even helped me pick up a set of the developing kit when he bought his recently. I rushed over to ThirtySix during lunch to pick up the stuffs and he gave me a 5 minutes crash course on how to go about developing film. Ermm … a super rush training and I left the shop still in a state of confusion. All I remembered was… >> read more

Kirameki, So Pretty

Written by • Apr 11th, 2011 • Category: Toys
A week ago … I got a little upset when the DHL guy arrived with a package from Lomography and in the package was a Diana Mini (the Jiyu version) instead of the Kirameki Diana F+ I ordered. Damn! I could have avoided such problem had I bought it locally but then I had some piggies and some vouchers that I needed to use up by this month … so an online order was the most logical way to get it. Anyway … being honest (stupid me!) … I emailed… >> read more

Three White Ones

Written by • Apr 3rd, 2011 • Category: Others
If I remember correctly, not too long ago … there was some article in Lomography’s website saying that the Diana F+ clones were to come to an end … and that somehow also meant an end to the burning of my wallet to collect the clones … but out of a sudden came a new one (!!!) that looks clean, neat and ermm … cool. Not only the Diana F+ … but the Diana Mini and Fisheye 2 had this ‘special treatment’. Lomography’s online store has to to say about… >> read more

Can’t Get Crazier! Meow!

Written by • Feb 21st, 2011 • Category: Others
Just the other day … while gulping beer with Jimmy from ThirtySix … he told me that Superheadz will be launching some new ‘toy’ digital camera and it has something to do with cats. Cats?? Not sure if he had one too many beer or he wasn’t suppose to let me know (yet) about it … he just told me that since I love cats … I should buy it. Huh? Today … I stumbled upon the camera called ‘Necono Digital Camera’ by Superheadz. Unfortunately I couldn’t find much details… >> read more

Black + White Arrived

Written by • Aug 5th, 2010 • Category: Lead Story
The postman came knocking today and handed me a parcel from Japan. Yeah … I was pretty excited to receive it because in it … the white edition of the Fujifilm Natura Classica! I struggled for a short while when I heard about this white version and decided to *cough* break my piggy bank for one. I’m pretty broke now and wifey’s gonna kill me when she sees next month’s credit card bill. Sexy in white! For those living outside Japan, you can get your Classica from the Circle Rectangle… >> read more

Kipon Tilt Adapter

Written by • Jul 13th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
My dream of getting a tilt-shift adapter to use on my Olympus E-P1/E-PL1 went crashing out of the window when I found out that a Japanese company/shop was coming out with one that costs about US$400. That’s a lot of money for an adapter and I gave up all hopes … until recently … somehow my itchy fingers typed ‘w … w … w … e … b … a … y … c … o … m’. Out of the blue, I was suddenly reminded of the tilt-shift adapter… >> read more

LC-A+ In Tokyo : Last Roll

Written by • Jun 9th, 2010 • Category: Fun with film
It sucks to not have any photos (film) to scan because that is a sign that I haven’t been having fun lately. On the other hand … it sucks even more to have some film to scan but just can’t find time to do it. Okay … let’s rule out the possibility of sending the roll to be scanned at the lab because making a trip there, waiting for the scanning and collecting it … I could have finished scanning it at home and gulped a few cups of coffee.… >> read more

Lonely No More

Written by • Jun 3rd, 2010 • Category: Toys
Ever since I found that pancake lens to use on my Nikon FA … I find myself not wanting to remove it (from the body) and thus my 50mm lens got neglected for a while. I took pity on it and managed to find a good condition black Nikon F3 to ‘accompany’ the poor lonely lens and I really love the combo! The moment I held that F3 in my hands … I could feel that it is solid like a tank! Cool! A little heavy but might be handy… >> read more
