One Roll, Three Countries

Written by • May 1st, 2013 • Category: Fun with film
The title of this entry (One Roll, Three Countries) may sound like some cool project I did but honestly … it is just a simple title to describe this roll of Neopan 400 loaded into my GR21 when I was in Japan early this year. As I have been struck by some strange illness called ‘no-mood-to-shoot’ (which is slowly recovering), I took only a handful of shots during that trip and then despite my desperate attempt to finish the 36 frames here in Singapore later … it still ended up… >> read more

Korea 2013 In Analogue

Written by • Apr 23rd, 2013 • Category: Lead Story
Despite my attempt to shoot more rolls of film this trip,  I ended up coming back with only a couple of rolls. This first roll is a Lomography Tunsten 64 cross processed and shot using my precious Ricoh GR21. To be honest … I am trying hard to get back my trigger happy ways. I had my LC-A+ with me but it saw only a handful of exposures before going back into my bag. I think I might have just picked the right film to load … as the cherry… >> read more

Few Randoms From Korea

Written by • Apr 21st, 2013 • Category: Lead Story
Eight days on a vacation in Korea … and I came back with tons of photos of Fitzand, few random shots from the streets (digital) and exposed just 2 rolls of film. Don’t ask me where did my trigger happy habit went. If you happen to see it … give me a call. Anyway … while I am struggling to go through the tons of photos of Fitzand … here are the other random shots I took … mostly street photos that I snapped one evening when the mood came.… >> read more

A Nicer Strap

Written by • Mar 14th, 2012 • Category: Toys
If there is one thing I don’t like about the Pentax K-01 … it has to be the strap (other than the rubbery SD slot cover). Not only I find it ugly … I also find it too short. Looking for a replacement … I found this pretty neat and comfy Matin strap … with the word ‘Pentax’ on it. I ain’t no fanboy of any brand but I thought the orange colored text looks good with the yellow cammie. 😛 Before I say goodbye to the original one that… >> read more

X-100 All Dressed Up

Written by • May 23rd, 2011 • Category: Toys
Finally time to post some photos of my X-100 … all ‘dressed up’ and looking pretty. Yeah I know … I know … it ain’t a rangefinder but just a ‘Casio rangefinder’ (a friend calls it that) that tries to look like a retro camera. 😀 Let’s not go there. Sorry if the colors of the case looks different in all the photos. Hahaha! I was in a rush to go fetch my boy from school and had only 5 minutes to snap some photos without much time to mess… >> read more

Sticky Sticky Sunday

Written by • Dec 27th, 2009 • Category: Toys
Dropped by the post office today to collect a package that was supposed to be in my hands on X’mas eve but unfortunately my office was closed when the postman arrived. Some of you might have read in my earlier entry about this metal sticker set by Gariz (in Korea) for the Olympus E-P1 … I thought it looked pretty cool and thus placed order for it through Gmarket. The entire ordering process was very fast and the item was shipped from Korea to me (using EMS) in a couple… >> read more

Go For Gold

Written by • Dec 19th, 2009 • Category: Toys
After seeing some of those ‘skins’ available for the Olympus E-P1, I wasn’t really impressed with any of those. They have those ‘leather’ skins (black ones seem to go well with the silver E-P1 though) and some have those ‘wooden’ pattern on them. The one that made me went ‘wow’ was one I saw today from a company in Korea called Gariz. They have this ‘metal sticker’ that’s gold in color and has some neat graphics on then. That company seems to make other stickers for other cameras and gadgets… >> read more

Dressing Up The Mini

Written by • Nov 4th, 2009 • Category: Others
The Diana Mini created quite a lot of excitement not too long ago and I’m sure there are many fans of this cute little camera out there. I came across this neat half case (leather??) from Korea and thought maybe I can post some images of them here … in case some of you might be interested. They are going for US$39.99 each and comes in few pretty cute colors … These cute cases are available on e(vil)Bay by the seller stylepaparazzi. Nah … I won’t be getting any of… >> read more

No Nukes? No Way!

Written by • Aug 12th, 2009 • Category: Toys
Don’t get me wrong (from this entry title) … it’s not that I’m against the No Nukes protest … it’s just that there is no way I’m gonna burn any money for this. Hahahaa! Maybe if it came out before the 25th Anniversary Edition … just maybe … just maybe … I’ll wanna buy it. Why do I get the feeling that Lomography is gonna do another neverending-Diana-clones stunt on the LC-A+ camera? Hmm … maybe soon they’ll have pink Hello Kitty LC-A+ as well? The ‘No Nukes’ LOMO LC-A+… >> read more

Along came a cat!

Written by • Feb 26th, 2009 • Category: Toys
Something I know that will come sooner or later … the next Diana World Tour exclusive edition of the Diana F+ camera. This time … it’s Korea. I love this cute design! Compared to the Tokyo edition (Tokyo Rising), I think this design is way cuter. The Tokyo version looks a bit on the conservative and classic side, while this one is so cute! Oh … and yeah … I love cats. This sassy comic cat is carefully designed by renowned illustrator SnowCat (www.snowcat.co.kr) who represents part of Korea’s individualistic… >> read more
