This is probably one of the most exciting camera from Lomography! The Belair camera! Received a newsletter with an offer to do a pre-order with 30% off and I went ‘whoaaaa!’ when I saw them. The specs looks yummy too! Glitter Rocket

Written by • Apr 23rd, 2011 • Category: Others
During my recent trip to visit my folks in Malaysia, I packed along my Sprocket Rocket thinking I could fire some rolls there but as I was lurking around the paint section in a hardware shop … I suddenly had an idea to create something a little different as a present for my friend Jimmy (from ThirtySix). I saw some gold paint and thought maybe I could give my Sprocket Rocket a new look and give it to him (and soon go buy a brand new one from him again).… >> read more

Rocketing In Taiwan : 2

The last roll from the Sprocket Rocket for the trip. As the weather/lighting was pretty crazy/bad, loading a roll of Lomo Xpro 200 slides on the Rocket was a little risky. Fortunately we were in Taichung during that time and the sun was (a little bit) more ‘helpful’. Still there were some ‘forced doubles’ due to bad lighting. Glad most of the shots turned out fine. 😀 I kinda like the doubles in this roll! Fitzand posing with his new soft toy and train … After finish scanning this roll… >> read more

Rocketing In Taiwan : 1

The Lomography’s latest ‘toy’ … the Sprocket Rocket wasn’t one of the product that made me super excited nor did I rush to grab one. Our friendly (not very pocket-friendly though) people from ThirtySix buzzed me and told me that they reserved one for me (!!!) and stocks were in … the week before I flew off to Taiwan for my vacation. So I dropped by the shop, picked up the Sprocket Rocket (darn long name and I’ll just call it Rocket from now on) and decided to bring it… >> read more

Phew!!!! It is Friday night and this must be one of the happiest one in quite a long time. Finally I can take a week off from work and go for a short trip … away from the crazy stack of work that is after me. I’ve yet to pack my stuffs but luckily I still have tomorrow to do so. Guess I’ll have a hard time deciding which camme to bring along because travelling with an active boy on a free & easy trip … isn’t that all easy.… >> read more

Spinner : First Look

Written by • Jun 16th, 2010 • Category: Toys
I know it ain’t cheap but I thought to spend about S$200 on such a special newly invented weird camera is worth the pain. Well that’s what I thought … until some friend told me it is more like a copy of another camera. Huh? Really? I’ve never seen one! So he gave me this link and some four letter words came out flying from my filthy mouth. 😛 I must be blind or do I not see this Spinshot 35S being mentioned in the ‘History of 360 Photography’ section… >> read more

Spinner 360?!

Written by • Jun 9th, 2010 • Category: Others
As usual … Lomography has been getting the fans all excited by letting them guess what a new mystery product is. I saw some of the ‘clues’ they provided and thought it definitely has to be some panoramic camera and now … though they haven’t officially announced what the camera is … some smart ones has found it in the Lomography Asia store and it is even on Gizmodo. The Spinner 360! Not sure about the pricing as I’ve yet to be able to get into the Lomo Asia store… >> read more

Another Busy Saturday

Woke up this morning and was greeted by a message on my phone … saying that there will be a ‘photo clinic session’ (more like a talk/intro) about film/toy camera photography at Orchard Central, organized by ThirtySix. Well who wouldn’t wanna go take a look at what Jimmy (the boss) has to say, so I brought my family (yeah … the entire army to go support!) to check out the session at 3:30pm. Here’s a couple of shots taken at the ‘photo clinic session’. Click on the image below for… >> read more

Japan + Singapore = Chaos

It really took me way too long to finish this roll of Sensia 100 that was sent to me all the way from Japan. It was for a doubles collaboration with Michel Jones (mijonju) but life has been so busy that I neglected it. Haha. To be honest … I’ve yet to even send him my rolls! Argh! Anyway … back to this roll. It was only after I received it that we realised that he forgot to mark on the film on where the first frame is. Uh oh!… >> read more

Streeeeeeeeeetch!

Holga 120WPC (Wide Pinhole Camera). If I remember correctly, I’ve only used it three times since I bought it because getting 6 shots (only) out of a roll fo 120 film is a bit too costly. Well if I were to be any better and be able to get 6 perfect (or decent) shots out of every roll … then I won’t be complaining. I decided to perform some ‘operation’ on it and turn it into a 35mm camera. The next question is … HOW? I hate the idea of… >> read more
