A Casetagram Case

Written by • Jul 19th, 2013 • Category: Others
Shoot it. Place it. Case it. That’s what Castetagram claims they do. I recently chanced upon this interesting online phone/tablet cover printing service and decided to give it a try. The 2 items I ordered from them arrived today and since I am very satisfied with them … I’ll do a short ‘review’ on Casetagram here in my (recently much neglected blog). Designing your own cases are a breeze using just a few simple steps on their website. Oh … by the way … they can be found at casetagram.com.… >> read more

Bricks, Photos And Bears

Written by • Dec 10th, 2012 • Category: Digital stuffs
Took Fitzand to the Art Science Museum today for the ‘The Art Of The Brick’ and the Magnum photos showcase ‘[Outside] In’ today. We had a great time in both the exhibits! No photo taking is allowed at the Magnum showcase but I was fascinated by Jacob Aue Sobol’s work. You’ve gotta go check it out! Many wonderful works at the exhibit. Here are just a few shots to share … I don’t wanna be a spoiler. Go check it out soon! ‘Disintegration’ … I love this one (above). That’s… >> read more

Toy Cameras : The Book

Written by • Mar 1st, 2011 • Category: Others
The postman arrived today with a book titled ‘Toy Cameras’ by Kevin Meredith (aka lomokev). As I was having (just another) hell-ish day at work, I couldn’t wait til I get home to sip some coffee (no beer!) and enjoy browsing it. It is a very nicely designed book, filled with lots of information about toy cameras as well as lots and lots of photos taken by those cameras. Ahem! Ermm … I was invited to contribute some photos for the Diana Multi Pinhole camera section! 😀 It feels so… >> read more

For those who love Lomography or old school analogue photography here in Singapore, finally the Malaysian made movie that you will love to check out is here! [The Negative Effect] is a light and easy, true to life documentary featuring a group of youngsters living in this new  digital age, yet being obsessed with old school analogue photography. Watch the journey of their dream, as they unite and travelled north to Penang Island just to shoot and organise a lo-fi photo exhibition called Gia Gia Kua Kua (which  literally means… >> read more

Cyan Shine Shines!

Written by • Dec 13th, 2010 • Category: Others
A friend from Lomography recently updated me about this Cyan Shine Magazine which caters to the lomography, lo-fi, analog & film crowd. They’ve just launched Issue #0 and it is available for download now (in PDF format). I downloaded it last night and I must say I’m pretty impressed with the contents. Lots and lots of beautiful cool photos and it is not peppered with adverts or some zzzzzzzz text. It features great photos from lots of great Lomographers/analogue lovers. The download (of the softcopy magazine) is a little slow… >> read more

For Real??

Written by • May 25th, 2010 • Category: Others
Not too long ago, a friend sent me a link and kept encouraging me to submit my blog for the Singapore Blog Awards in the ‘Best Photography Blog’ category. I laughed my fat butt off and told him that the chances that my blog will make it in the list is way below zero. I agreed to give it a go but I didn’t really read the stuffs in detail. After submission … only I realised that it says ‘This category is for professional photography blogs’. Professional? LOL! OMG! WTF?… >> read more

Don’t Be Naked!

Written by • Mar 26th, 2010 • Category: Others
After seeing how more people are putting some effort to ‘dress up’ their cameras, I decided to start a page in Facebook to house images of the many wonderful, cool, crazy, weird, funky, cute or sometimes bizarre looking cameras … for everyone to enjoy. Was pretty surprised to find that the number of fans hit over a hundred overnight! Photos are coming in real fast too and I do hope these photos can inspire more people to start dressing up their cameras. After all … naked cameras suck! As I’m… >> read more

Zumi2 Back In Action

Written by • Feb 20th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
It always take me way too long to compile enough video clips from the Harinezumi 2 camera to create a decent length one. After the recent Chinese New Year break, I finally have enough to fill up a little video and found some time off to piece them together … Apart from the video clips, of course there are some still images taken by that cute little camera. Someone approached me when I was using it recently … and he asked if the Harinezumi is the kind of camera used… >> read more

Twenty Ten Arrives

Written by • Dec 31st, 2009 • Category: Others
Just hours before the year 2010 come knocking at our doors and force itself into our lives. Hmm. Wait. That doesn’t sound very right. Let me rephrase it … It is just hours before we welcome a brand new year … blah blah blah … Wait. That sounds too boring. Let me … nevermind. HAPPY NEW YEAR 2010!!! Hahahaha! This will be my last post for the year 2009 and since I don’t wanna repeat what I wrote in my Christmas wishes entry … I’ll just wish everyone an incredible… >> read more

Photographiques customises?

Written by • Dec 24th, 2009 • Category: Others
It wasn’t long ago that I did this interview with Catherine who runs a photography website (in French) … mostly about those ‘dressed up’/customized Holga cameras I used to do. Looking back … it has been a long long while since I’ve worked on any new design for the Holga cams and I promise myself to find time to work on few more designs in 2010. It is not that I’ve no new ideas to do them … but it is always the lack of time in life. Hahaha. How… >> read more
