Japan + Singapore = Chaos

It really took me way too long to finish this roll of Sensia 100 that was sent to me all the way from Japan. It was for a doubles collaboration with Michel Jones (mijonju) but life has been so busy that I neglected it. Haha. To be honest … I’ve yet to even send him my rolls! Argh! Anyway … back to this roll. It was only after I received it that we realised that he forgot to mark on the film on where the first frame is. Uh oh!… >> read more

Redscale, Mini, Screwed!

While the Diana Mini is supposed to be a half frame camera (with square photo capability) that allows you to shoot double the amount of frames per roll …. mine acted the opposite. I shot my roll using the square format and was supposed to get 36 exposures from the roll of redscale film … I ended up getting about half the amount only! Argh! Damn! First was the problem of forgetting to fire the camera before loading the film. This caused the camera to tear some of the sprockets… >> read more

Cool Or Hot?

We were rushing out for a dinner & drink appoinment with some friends and suddenly Fitzand told us that he wanted to wear his cap. I handed him his Mickey Mouse cap but he didn’t want it. I was pretty confused because that is his favourite cap out of 3 that he owns. So I asked him what he wanted to wear … and the walked to his clothes drawer and picked up these ‘accessories’ of his. Hahahhaa! I was laughing myself silly but luckily still sober enought to run… >> read more

Redscale vs LB

What happens when something that some call bizarre … is paired with something else that’s pretty bizarre? It’s Lensbaby meets redscale film! My first attempt in using the Lensbaby Composer on my el-cheapo EOS88 SLR and a roll of Lomo Redscale negative film. Was too lazy to make a roll of redscale for this purpose, so decided to use the roll of redscale that a friend gave me to try it out. I know I’m supposed to copy out those backlog entry photos for my Lensbaby Diary and update my… >> read more

How to : Redscale film photography

All you’ve to do is load the film into a canister with the wrong side facing up. This means that the wrong side will get exposed instead. The result … weird and funky colored photos like this …  Here are some simple steps which I learned from some guys online …  What you need are two rolls of films. You are going to empty (waste) one of them, so it’s best if you have some expired or unwanted film to sacrifice. Let’s name the two rolls A and B. Roll… >> read more

Minidigi goes the the War Memorial

Minutes before it started pouring, managed only these few shots. It’s my 2nd time using this baby camera but despite the fact that it’s probably the coolest camera I own … the LCD leaves way too much to be desired. Not only it’s tiny (ok, I can’t expect a larger one on this little camera) but the display seems so fuzzy that I can hardly see any detail. Maybe I’m expecting to much from a ‘toy’ camera. Duh!… >> read more
