To The Museum And More

After last night’s ‘dramatic’ trip to the Boat Quay area for some (most likely gone case) night shots … I was back there again today but this time … in the late morning with my family. We brought Fitzand to check out the ‘Little Explorer’s Travels‘ event at the Asians Civilisations Museum and although he wasn’t that ‘impressed’ with some of the old stuffs on display (he kept telling us ‘spooky!’ when he saw some of those exhibits like the rather scary looking colorful Chinese … ermmm … puppets/statues. 😀… >> read more

Strip In Strips

Frankly … I was almost bored to death during my trip to Malaysia for the Lunar New Year recently. Luckily I managed to get my dad to make a trip to the store to get me a prepaid internet access SIM card. However … I was still super busy having to look after Fitzand and trying to recover from hangovers. 😛 In between these stuffs … I finished a roll of the Lomo Chrome 100 Xpro film (in a week). It was actually meant to be a roll of ‘first… >> read more

Ndroo Vs F & Z

Arrived back here in Singapore around dinner time. Spent almost a week in Malaysia with my folks … celebrating the Lunar New Year. The best part of this yearly celebration is always knowing that the two little ones (Fitzand and his cousin sister) are definitely gonna turn the house upside down with their noise/cries/laughter/shouts etc … and of course not forgetting the beer sessions with my brother. 😀 I tried to get some snapshots of the two little ones and I seriously find it super duper difficult to get them… >> read more

Yeah … Very Funny!

Cindy (aka Cyanwater) from ThirtySix gave Fitzand a Christmas present that he loved lots. It was a disposable camera called ‘LOL CAM’ and he wanted to use it the moment he ripped apart the box (in the car!). I managed to stop him and later taught him how to use it. Luckily his finger was long enough to reach the front to press (and hold) the flash button. I thought that roll of 24 exposure film wouldn’t last an hour … since I decided to just leave it to him… >> read more

12 Frames Here & There

Something shocking happened during my trip to Taiwan recently. I opened up my camera bag … removed the back from my Diana F+ and … OMG!!! I forgot to bring along an empty 120 spool and also the bottom plate that holds the roll of film in place! I removed it to install the instant back some time ago but forgot to place it back! Oh no! For a second my plan to fire at least a roll with the camera went up in smoke. A few seconds later I… >> read more

Of Chickens & Poo

Burned some Instax wide film during my recent trip to Malaysia. This first one is my favourite. It was a lucky shot though. I waited for the rooster to walk towards me but I knew that to get a nicer angle … I had to go lower down … but … the ground was peppered with chicken poo. Damn. Eeew! I have enough of those (poo/shit/crap) at work and so I told myself that it was gonna be a ‘don’t think … just shoot’ situation. I was very happy when… >> read more

Haircut Drama

Written by • Dec 20th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
Fitzand loves spending time at his grandparents’ place in Malaysia and since the childcare was closed last Friday, a trip to Malaysia for a long(er) weekend seemed to be a good idea. He had lots of fun playing there and my mom was saying that Fitzand needs a haircut. Perhaps trim a little on all sides. Hmm. Despite hearing the ‘horror stories’ of how I struggled/sweat to convince him to let me trim his hair … how I only manage to snip off a small part (of the hair) at… >> read more

Rocketing In Taiwan : 2

The last roll from the Sprocket Rocket for the trip. As the weather/lighting was pretty crazy/bad, loading a roll of Lomo Xpro 200 slides on the Rocket was a little risky. Fortunately we were in Taichung during that time and the sun was (a little bit) more ‘helpful’. Still there were some ‘forced doubles’ due to bad lighting. Glad most of the shots turned out fine. 😀 I kinda like the doubles in this roll! Fitzand posing with his new soft toy and train … After finish scanning this roll… >> read more

Featuring Fat Finger

Apart from the risky (but fun) first attempts at using the Sprocket Rocket during my Taiwan trip, I threw in this old Konica AA35 that has been sitting in my cabinet for a long time … with a roll of film that I couldn’t remember loaded … into my backpack. The film counter was pointing at ‘1’ and at that point of time … I realised that this is one of the camera that I’ve never got to start using (or test). Gosh! I sure hope it was working! Being… >> read more

Taiwan 2010 : The Video

Written by • Nov 24th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
Stop right here if you don’t wanna waste 10 minutes of your time watching some random video clips (mostly of Fitzand) that I randomly shot during last week’s Taiwan trip. 😀 The little one loves watching himself in videos … so I spent most of the time shooting video instead of photos this time. I ain’t got too much patience (nor time) to edit videos … so I just pieced them together in maybe an hour last night.… >> read more
