Crossing My Path #1

Written by • Oct 26th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
Checked into the hotel at Tsim Tsa Tsui and on the way for a late lunch … with just my X100 in hand … I shot everyone who crossed my path. I love street photography and I’m beginning to love using the electronic viewfinder (EVF) on the X100. The wide lens is a joy to use for street photography! I’ll probably fill up my SD card the next few days on the streets but I sure hope I can find the mood & inspiration to finish a roll of film… >> read more

White Baby For My Baby

Written by • Sep 7th, 2011 • Category: Toys
Picked up a very minty condition Pentax I-10 today at a super great price from a seller who seemed pretty eager to let it go. Finally I can stop worrying whenever Fitzand bugs me for my X-100 (!!!) when I’m out shooting. Yeah … this cute white baby is for my baby big boy. Why not just let him use my LC-A+ you ask? He is one trigger happy fella (like me) and since he learned how to advance the film and take the next (and next and next) shot… >> read more

Kirameki, So Pretty

Written by • Apr 11th, 2011 • Category: Toys
A week ago … I got a little upset when the DHL guy arrived with a package from Lomography and in the package was a Diana Mini (the Jiyu version) instead of the Kirameki Diana F+ I ordered. Damn! I could have avoided such problem had I bought it locally but then I had some piggies and some vouchers that I needed to use up by this month … so an online order was the most logical way to get it. Anyway … being honest (stupid me!) … I emailed… >> read more

Three White Ones

Written by • Apr 3rd, 2011 • Category: Others
If I remember correctly, not too long ago … there was some article in Lomography’s website saying that the Diana F+ clones were to come to an end … and that somehow also meant an end to the burning of my wallet to collect the clones … but out of a sudden came a new one (!!!) that looks clean, neat and ermm … cool. Not only the Diana F+ … but the Diana Mini and Fisheye 2 had this ‘special treatment’. Lomography’s online store has to to say about… >> read more

Deciding On The Decided

Written by • Jan 19th, 2011 • Category: Others
Stumbled upon some images of this Philip Stein watch from their ceramic collection online recently and decided to get one for wifey. Her birthday is still a month away but I decided to get it for her now anyway and hopefully she’ll like it. The guy at the boutique told me that the watch has Natural Frequency Technology inside (WTH is that?!) that helps give better sleep and relaxes the mind (really?). I asked if he has anything that helps one stay awake … and he offered me coffee. Duh!… >> read more

Black + White Arrived

Written by • Aug 5th, 2010 • Category: Lead Story
The postman came knocking today and handed me a parcel from Japan. Yeah … I was pretty excited to receive it because in it … the white edition of the Fujifilm Natura Classica! I struggled for a short while when I heard about this white version and decided to *cough* break my piggy bank for one. I’m pretty broke now and wifey’s gonna kill me when she sees next month’s credit card bill. Sexy in white! For those living outside Japan, you can get your Classica from the Circle Rectangle… >> read more

Passport Photo Fun!

Written by • Jun 27th, 2010 • Category: Fun with film
It was perhaps a few years ago when I traded a Seagull TLR with a friend’s Fujifilm FP-14. That cool, big and cool looking passport camera was given to him by someone and he didn’t see much use in it … so we traded. After that … I used it only a couple of times because the film for it ain’t cheap. *sweat* Recently I bought 5 packs of the FP-100B film … for use with my instant pinhole camera (that I’ve yet to finish modifying!) made using a Polaroid… >> read more

Classica In White!

Written by • May 27th, 2010 • Category: Others
“OMG” appearing on MSN Messenger is something I don’t like to see too often … especially when it comes from Mijonju (yeah … the devil again!). This is what he showed me … Yeah! OMG! A limited edition white Natura Classica camera! I was told that it is a limited edition of only 3000 units and I was told that pre orders are snapping up the units real fast. No price is available yet but it should cost a bit more than the normal Classica cameras. I don’t own a… >> read more

Tokyo : The Streets 2

Written by • Apr 26th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
The second batch of the street photos. I think I might have fired one too many shots this time and will try post them in few batches of 25 photos each time. ūüėÄ All straight outta the camera … shot in ‘Grainy B&W’ mode and just resized for web. My newly found lazy yet fun way of doing street shooting with the E-PL1 without doing post-processing … seems to make me wanna go out to the street more often. We’ve just left Shinjuku today and now slacking in a hotel… >> read more

Articulating LCDs? Nah!

Written by • Feb 9th, 2010 • Category: Others
Stumbled upon this super futuristic cool camera design and thought you guys might be interested to take a look at it. It is suppose to allow the user to take photos from all sort of angles. With this, people do not have to bitch about some new cameras not having those articulating LCD monitors anymore. “Fleximus camera is a¬†flexible tube with¬†a¬†lens. You can choose to¬†mount either a¬†compact view finder or a¬†three-inch display module.” Maybe I can shove it down my throat to take some… >> read more
