Belair Test Run

Written by • Dec 23rd, 2012 • Category: Fun with film
It has been weeks since my Belair Globe-trotter arrived and I finally got the test roll developed in the bathroom after dinner and scanned it. What do I think of this pretty neat looking camera? Since I don’t feel like typing much now … I generated some memes to do the explanation …… >> read more

Exercising The GF670

Written by • Nov 7th, 2012 • Category: Fun with film
After some months of ‘rest’, my Fujifilm GF670 got to go out for some fun again. This roll of long expired Fujifilm Pro 160s had a few exposures … ermm … exposed … and I was trying to finish shooting it. I am beginning to think that I should shoot only 120 film as I have way too little time for photography nowdays. 🙁 There was a small problem with the folding mechanism some months back … but after a close inspection … apparently it was something I dropped that… >> read more

Belair For Christmas!

Written by • Oct 19th, 2012 • Category: Others
This is probably one of the most exciting camera from Lomography! The Belair camera! Received a newsletter with an offer to do a pre-order with 30% off and I went ‘whoaaaa!’ when I saw them. The specs looks yummy too! Specs taken from their website says … – A totally original medium-format camera with automatic shutter settings. – Takes breathtaking 6×12 panoramic photos as well as 6×6 square format and 6×9 photos. – Exchangeable lens system for experimentation and flexibility. – High quality lenses crafted by an experienced optics team.… >> read more

Taming The Beast

Written by • Aug 10th, 2012 • Category: Fun with film
Fitzand’s didn’t have to attend class today and so I took a day off to babysit him. After breakfast I took him for a fun time at Gardens By The Bay … and lugging along my Mamiya 645 Pro TL for a test drive. I picked up this (darn heavy) beast some time back but just couldn’t find the time (and mood) to test drive it. The camera looks a little seasoned and I was a little worried it might give me problem since it is way past the few… >> read more

Diana + Redscale Randoms

Written by • Jun 26th, 2012 • Category: Fun with film
I’m getting closer to clearing all the partially exposed rolls of film left stuck in some cameras. This time … a roll of Lomography redscale film finally got fully exposed and it in are some random shots from Taiwan and Singapore. Well … only 2 were shot in Taiwan. 😛 I could only find time to scan 4 of them and will try stay awake tonight to finish scanning the others. Most of them seem to be a underexposed and looks very red! This one (above) was taken during a… >> read more

Diana Returns!

Written by • May 24th, 2012 • Category: Fun with film
Friends found it hard to believe when I told them that I shot only about a roll of 120 on my Diana F+ and maybe 15 frames on my LC-A+ during my recent vacation to Taiwan. It is not that I wasn’t trigger happy but … the *cough cough* truth is … I was spending too much time playing with the X-Pro1. Okay … let’s not talk about the X-Pro1 for now. There were some frames left in a roll that I loaded into my Diana F+ and it was… >> read more

Roll Of Disaster

Written by • Dec 11th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
After a successful attempt at DIY developing my first roll of 35mm black & white film recently, I took a risk (it is always a risk for a clumsy guy like me) and attempted doing the same for a roll of 120 film. This is one of two test rolls (Rollei Retro 400) I took randomly to test out my GF670. I’ll talk about the camera later on. Notice the white patch on the bottom right of the photo above? Okay … here’s the whole story. Loading the 120 film… >> read more

The Folding Gift

Written by • Nov 29th, 2011 • Category: Toys
Christmas sure came very early this year for me when a parcel from Hong Kong arrived today. It it is a Fujifilm GF670 … one of my dream camera when I was hunting for a camera that allows me to shoot 6×6, has metering & aperture priority and doesn’t weigh a ton. Best of all … this camera … is a gift … for me!!! It is not brand new but in mint condition and came with the strap and manual (Japanese). I couldn’t resist but to take some snapshots… >> read more

Beast Gets Wide!

Written by • Aug 4th, 2011 • Category: Toys
The Bronica ETRsi was one of the camera I bought just to ‘have a feel’ of how such camera works. Little did I know that I’ll end up loving that boxy heavy camera so much that I decided to not only keep it … but also get an extra lens and a couple of accessories for it. The last time I bought such a heavy beast … was the Kiev60 … the ‘bumble bee’ cam that I’ve used once and has been sitting heavy in my cabinet since. The first… >> read more

Lazy Afternoon Snaps

Apart from gulping down lots of yummy beer yesterday at Whitchurch Rd area, we did loiter around that area for some photos. At one point … we were even told that ‘hey … this is private property!’ when we were shooting some swing in some open area. Duh. Anyway … still I managed to finish a roll of long expired Kodak T400N 120 and got it developed today. Like the BW400CN, the T400CN doesn’t give too much of a contrast. Still pretty usable for times when I wanna shoot black… >> read more
