Tilt Vs Tilt

Written by • Jan 30th, 2011 • Category: Others
Ever since I mentioned in my blog that I bought the Kipon tilt adapter for my E-P1 … I got quite a number of emails asking me if it is of any good. Honestly I replied those emails with a very vague answer. Hahaha! ‘I am not very sure’. Well it all depends on what we expect from it. Those who has used a real tilt-shift lens might not like it … while people with low expectations (like me) find it pretty interesting. So I added in those replies that… >> read more

Lensbabies + K-x : A Test

Written by • May 11th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
After a short break from using my Lensbaby, finally I’ve ‘migrated’ the cool lenses to Pentax mount and since the K-x will be almost ‘permanently married’ to the Lensbabies … I had to give it a test run to figure out how the camera will meter with the lenses. Lugged the setup to Malaysia during the weekend … hoping to be able to find time to take some shots and get used to the new combo … time somehow zapped past real fast and I ended up with only a… >> read more

Cutie And Yummy

Written by • Mar 9th, 2010 • Category: Others
After the recent cool ‘gold metal’ skin by Gariz for the Olympus E-P1, along comes a super cute and colorful one that I find very very interesting. A little too cute for an old man like me and if I ever get my E-P1 dressed up like this … it will definitely end up in Fitzand’s hands for good. The same company also has a big time poison which I am very afraid of. It is a tilt-shift adapter for the E-P1/E-P2. The website is in Japanese but I think… >> read more

Ugly Lens, Ugly Food

I was out early in the morning on Saturday to view/shoot the sunrise again. This time we decided to park out butts at the Merlion Park instead of the usual sunrise shoots at the beach. That morning I didn’t really shoot much but spent more time slacking and testing out this lens that I bought used recently. It is a very funny and weird looking little lens for my Olympus E-P1. This Pentax 25mm f1.4 lens is a manual focus lens that produces photos that are pretty sharp in the… >> read more

25 July 09

After a pretty disappointing dinner last night (beer was great though), I made up for it with a hot bowl of ramen and some sushi (I only take sushi without seafood!) for breakfast. Last night’s dinner at Liquid Kitchen was pretty yucky … a dry and tough roasted spring (maybe they were referring to metal springs?) chicken and what killed my mood was my goddamn maid again. As usual she’ll sit there looking like an imbecile and not looking after Fitzand much when he was eating. He got frustrated and… >> read more

Pen F To M43

Written by • Jul 15th, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
You must be going ‘Not another blog entry about his E-P1!!!!’. Right? Hahaha. Okay, I’ll try get back to film and plastic cams this weekend. Anyway … my Pen F to M43 adapter arrived today. Luckily it is way thinner than the EF – M43 one and fits nicely between my E-P1 and an old F Zuiko 38mm f1.8 lens from my Olympus Pen F. So does the lens work okay on the E-P1? I didn’t have much time to test it out just now and only took these few… >> read more

Lensbabies Goes M43

Written by • Jul 15th, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
What originally planned was to use only the 17mm f2.8 pancake lens on my E-P1 somehow didn’t last long. First I thought why not get an adapter to use the lens on my Pen F camera and later I had the itch to try using my Lensbabies on it. Duh! This means I’ll need two adapters! Ordered a Pen F to M43 adapter from ebay but it has not arrived as I’m typing this but managed to grab a Canon EF to M43 one from a local online camera store… >> read more

A Love Story

Written by • Jul 4th, 2009 • Category: Toys
Here’s a real love story that has a beautiful sweet ending. A long long time ago … Miss EE-2 (born between 1968 to 1977) noticed that her elder brother, Mr F (born around 1963) was feeling depressed. He was old and horny lonely. So one day, Miss EE-2 decided to find her poor lonely brother a soul mate. Month after month she searched high and low for the perfect partner that she hoped might bring joy and happiness to her brother. After a long search, finally she came to know… >> read more
