Hot Day. Mothers’ Day!

Written by • May 8th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
Happy Mothers’ day to every mother in the world! It has been a super duper ultra hot day and despite gulping a fair amount of icy cold beer … I am still thinking of (a bit) more now. 😀 Just came back from an early dinner with my family and friends … celebrating Mother’s Day this year at Jerry’s BBQ & Grill … eating … ermm … some not very healthy food (as usual). As we left home a bit earlier, we brought Fitzand to the Animal Resort to let… >> read more

Of Chickens & Poo

Written by • Dec 28th, 2010 • Category: Fun with film
Burned some Instax wide film during my recent trip to Malaysia. This first one is my favourite. It was a lucky shot though. I waited for the rooster to walk towards me but I knew that to get a nicer angle … I had to go lower down … but … the ground was peppered with chicken poo. Damn. Eeew! I have enough of those (poo/shit/crap) at work and so I told myself that it was gonna be a ‘don’t think … just shoot’ situation. I was very happy when… >> read more

Happy Birthday, Fitzand

Written by • Jan 5th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
How time flies! Fitzand has just turned 3 years old today and I took leave to spend the day with him … starting the day with a short birthday party at the childcare he attends. We ordered a Thomas & Friends cake (he personally picked the cake!) and he was super happy to see it yesterday evening when we collected it. This is the first time he’s celebrating his birthday with his friends at the childcare (he hasn’t joined the childcare during his last birthday) and he was super duper… >> read more

<3 Cats

Written by • Nov 26th, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
I have always loved cats and will jump at any opportunity to photograph them whenever I can. Not sure if my GRD3 has some ‘cat magnet’ … I usually find that cats won’t run for their lives when I point that little black camera at them … real close. Hmm. I was just about to post these two images I took yesterday evening in my gallery instead of a blog entry … until someone showed me a thread in a local forum with an image of a notice by the… >> read more

Weekend Videos

Written by • Sep 6th, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
Just came back from a beer cum dinner session with the ‘delivery boy’ from 8storeytree. I’ve replenished my slide film supply as well as received my white Digital Harinezumi. Yay! Hahhaa. Thought I’ll share these short little video clips I took last weekend with my compact camera. Nevermind the video quality … I am just a little very lazy to shoot HD videos and having to edit and upload them. 😀 This first one was shot last weekend and the Animal Resort. Fitzand was having a good time feeding the… >> read more

Redscale, Mini, Screwed!

Written by • Sep 1st, 2009 • Category: Fun with film
While the Diana Mini is supposed to be a half frame camera (with square photo capability) that allows you to shoot double the amount of frames per roll …. mine acted the opposite. I shot my roll using the square format and was supposed to get 36 exposures from the roll of redscale film … I ended up getting about half the amount only! Argh! Damn! First was the problem of forgetting to fire the camera before loading the film. This caused the camera to tear some of the sprockets… >> read more

Curious Superstar

Written by • Aug 21st, 2009 • Category: Others
It’s finally Friday again! While waiting for the happy weekend to arrive, I thought I might as well add an entry to share this super funny and cute photograph that I saw in the news recently. It is the type of photo that makes me smile every time I see it. Cute ain’t it? Hahaha. This was somehow an ‘accidental’ shot when the American couple were on vacation in Canada. They had the self timer on … posed for the photo and suddenly out came a curious squirrel who looked… >> read more
