Five Already!

In a blink of an eye … Fitzand turned 5 yesterday. Instead of the usual day off on his birthday, he told me that he wanted to celebrate it in school with his friends there and thus we prepared some goodie bags and ordered cake for him to have some good time with his buddies there. As we brought him for the Dinosaurs Live! exhibition last weekend, he didn’t bug us to bring him to the zoo this birthday. We used to bring him to the zoo for some big… >> read more

Hijacked Birthday

It is Valentine’s Day today as well as wifey’s birthday. As we do not usually bother celebrating birthdays (except when I need an excuse to gather friends to gulp beer) … we had a simple dinner at a Thai restaurant. After the dinner … I told Fitzand that it is his mommy’s birthday and he was super excited. He made a dash for his mommy and said ‘Mommy! It is your birthday today! I buy you a cake!!!’. Hahahaha! Guess he was excited about the cake instead. So we agreed… >> read more

Almost the end of a great Saturday! After meeting up with some friends to arrange for a short getaway next month, we dropped by to check out a cool exhibition titled FACES by Miun (aka Noreen) at The Little Dorm store. We were supposed to be there at 3pm but the little one fell asleep in the car and I had to wait for him while he enjoy his nap in the carpark. We arrived at the exhibition at 4pm and was told that it closes at 430pm! Phew! Glad… >> read more

Quack And Bake

The kiddos were having a Mothers’ Day celebration today morning and I had to give it a miss because not only the invitations were extended to the mothers … but also I just can’t take another half a day of leave because of the mess I’ve to clear at work (after the 1 week vacation). It was pretty sad to not be able to be there but I guess Fitzand was happy that his mommy was present. Right after breakfast, I handed my Sony point-n-shoot to wifey and told her… >> read more

Warm Night, Cold Noods

After selling off my DSLR body yesterday, I managed to let go my macro lens this evening. This means I’ve only 2 more lenses to sell before I am officially ‘DSLRless’. Someone’s coming over to check out the Sigma 10-20 lens tomorrow evening and I do hope he’ll help me clear off one more lens. These are a couple more of random test shots with the E-PL1 just now during dinner with my family (while waiting for the buyer who wanted my macro lens). I’ve had soba for the 2nd… >> read more

Friday Night Meat-ing

Hidden in the Mandai Orchid Garden, Singapore … the Vanilla Pod restaurant is one place we’ve always wanted to go but somehow never remember to. I’ve had breakfast there a few times when I was *ahem* into shooting macro and birds (with my now neglected DSLR). This evening, finally I brought my family there for a yummilicious dinner. The specials for the night were the lamb rack and the Yorkshire pork cutlet. Fitzand had chicken nugget with fries. Sorry for the lousy photos because lighting was super horrible and I… >> read more

Time For Celebrations

The Chinese New Year is about a week away and while I usually don’t bother much about any preparation (except for packing my bags to travel to Malaysia to celebrate with my folks) … this year I’m putting a bit of effort to get some stuffs done before I leave for Malaysia come next weekend. The childcare Fitzand is attending will be having a small ‘celebration’ for the kids and the kids are supposed to be dressed up for the ‘party’ in those ermmm … what do you call those?… >> read more

Happy Birthday, Fitzand

Written by • Jan 5th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
How time flies! Fitzand has just turned 3 years old today and I took leave to spend the day with him … starting the day with a short birthday party at the childcare he attends. We ordered a Thomas & Friends cake (he personally picked the cake!) and he was super happy to see it yesterday evening when we collected it. This is the first time he’s celebrating his birthday with his friends at the childcare (he hasn’t joined the childcare during his last birthday) and he was super duper… >> read more
