A Casetagram Case

Written by • Jul 19th, 2013 • Category: Others
Shoot it. Place it. Case it. That’s what Castetagram claims they do. I recently chanced upon this interesting online phone/tablet cover printing service and decided to give it a try. The 2 items I ordered from them arrived today and since I am very satisfied with them … I’ll do a short ‘review’ on Casetagram here in my (recently much neglected blog). Designing your own cases are a breeze using just a few simple steps on their website. Oh … by the way … they can be found at casetagram.com.… >> read more

Plus A Doggie

Put the finishing touch to the Nano blocks digital camera yesterday and it should now be sitting comfortably somewhere in a friend’s place. I was hunting for a nice display box for it but somehow most were either too big or simply unsuitable. Then I suddenly remembered having this display box that I bought from Ikea … many many years ago. The box didn’t really fit too nicely because the camera was a little too big but luckily I was able to tape up the back with the camera nicely… >> read more

Had a super wonderful beer session last night on New Year eve … slept about 4am and got kicked outta bed at around 730am. A few rounds of espresso today didn’t help much but since it is a public holiday today … I’ll just go into overdrive mode and try get some stuffs done. Wish everyone a wonderful new year and may tons of fun and happiness decorate our lives! Cheers! While we were out shopping a couple of days ago … I picked up 3 packs of those Nano… >> read more

Nano Block Toy Camera

I couldn’t find any of these cute little Nano Block cameras in Tokyo when I was there not too long ago and as I was slowly forgetting about it … those (grrr!!!) lovely guys from ThirtySix started carrying this product! They come in red, yellow, white, black and blue and since I was picking an extra set up for a buddy … I went for two sets … a red and a yellow. Candy colored packaging. Yummy! It comes with a small pack of extra blocks for you to have… >> read more

Stardust Edition – La Sardina

Written by • Oct 13th, 2012 • Category: Others
Not sure if it was a big mistake agreeing to help a friend ‘dress up’ a La Sardina as a present for one of her friends. While I was toying with a few ideas on ‘dressing up’ the camera, she told me that the design has to be elegant. Huh? Elegant? That’s something I will have some problem creating! She told me that she trusts what I can come up with (crazy?!) and so I agreed and went on toying with some ‘elegant’ ideas. Hahaha! Knowing myself … I’ll go… >> read more

Paint, Pancakes, Pain

Keeping my promise to give Fitzand’s bedroom a makeover … I had a little discussion with him and we decided on a Power Rangers themed room since he’s a big fan of those strange heroes in colorful tight clothings who can create explosions behind them just by posing. What I didn’t realise … having to remove the hundreds of stickers on all 3 walls …¬†was a nightmare! That wasn’t actually the biggest (and painful) part. There were a lot of double sided tapes that seemed to be of industrial… >> read more

Lovin It Ugly

Written by • Feb 2nd, 2012 • Category: Others
Trouble began when I read about rumors of a mirrorless camera from Pentax that accepts any K-mount lens. Now I’m glad I didn’t sell off any of the few Limited silver lenses I have and soon … those lovely lenses (including my Lensbabies!) will have a new mommy (my silver K5 is the daddy!). Well … this mommy ain’t the slim and sexy type though. Hahahaha! She’s ermm … boxy and ermm … weird … but I’m loving it! 16.28 Megapixel CMOS sensor form the K-5 New Prime M imaging… >> read more

The Aftermath

Written by • Oct 14th, 2011 • Category: Others
It has been on display at ThirtySix as part of the Impossible Lessons exhibition for almost a week already. This is the one camera I blogged about spending lots of time & effort on. After doing some pretty looking ‘dressed up’ cameras in the past, this one is a big change … as I was trying to beautify and then ‘uglify’ it. Sorry about the lousy photos of it … as I could only shoot with one hand that day. It was hours before I delivered the camera to ThirtySix… >> read more

Park, Snow, Leather

There is never enough time to do everything that I want … especially on weekends. Finding time to spend with my cameras is always the biggest challenge and this weekend is no exception. I desperately took a short walk in the almost completed Bishan park (the upgrade seems to take ages!) alone and managed to cure (a little) my trigger happy habit. These are two shots taken with an old infrared converted camera. I’ve always like my IR images in black & white instead of the colored versions. Many parts… >> read more
