Fisheye2 Vs Fathers’ Day

Written by • Jun 18th, 2012 • Category: Fun with film
Happy Fathers’ Day!!! Now time sure zap past real fast and it is another Fathers’ Day. It was just last year that I did a short video for the ‘Papa Amigo‘ feature in Lomography’s website. This year Fitzand made me some lovely cards in school and yesterday we had an early celebration … having a hotpot lunch and some beer in the evening. I got wasted downing too much beer during Mothers’ Day … so this time … I had only 3 pints. 😛 Today I loaded a roll of… >> read more

To The Museum And More

Written by • May 30th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
After last night’s ‘dramatic’ trip to the Boat Quay area for some (most likely gone case) night shots … I was back there again today but this time … in the late morning with my family. We brought Fitzand to check out the ‘Little Explorer’s Travels‘ event at the Asians Civilisations Museum and although he wasn’t that ‘impressed’ with some of the old stuffs on display (he kept telling us ‘spooky!’ when he saw some of those exhibits like the rather scary looking colorful Chinese … ermmm … puppets/statues. 😀… >> read more

Fisheyed + Redscaled Planes

Written by • May 27th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
Got a little too trigger happy yesterday at the Air Force open house preview and burned a roll of redscale film loaded in my Pentax MZ-30 coupled with the Lensbaby Scout + fisheye optic combo. It was a super darn hot day but somehow the roll still turned out underexposed. Bah! Well at least I know the next time I use redscale on the cam … I’ll probably compensate the exposure by +1 (or is it +2?). I was a little disappointed after scanning the first two shots but then… >> read more

Early X’mas Presents

Written by • Nov 27th, 2010 • Category: Toys
I remember a couple of years back, my first Christmas present for that year came early … in the form of a package from Lensbaby. This year … it is like deja vu … a juicy parcel landed at my office the day I started work after my short vacation! That made the first day at work (a little) better. 😀 Too bad it was too late for my trip, otherwise I’d have lugged my DSLR with the (Lens)babies along. Anyway … there is always a next vacation. 😀 There… >> read more

Oh Phew!!!

Written by • Nov 13th, 2010 • Category: Toys
Phew!!!! It is Friday night and this must be one of the happiest one in quite a long time. Finally I can take a week off from work and go for a short trip … away from the crazy stack of work that is after me. I’ve yet to pack my stuffs but luckily I still have tomorrow to do so. Guess I’ll have a hard time deciding which camme to bring along because travelling with an active boy on a free & easy trip … isn’t that all easy.… >> read more

Sunday Sunny Rehab

Written by • Oct 4th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
It was my first time participating in the annual Sunny Rehab organized by LomotionSG and since it was at a pretty nice place for some fun for Fitzand, I brought along the little one and his mommy for the outing. Of course I lugged along some cold beer to cool down on a pretty warm day. They had a ’36 frames’ competition but since I had to take care of Fitzand, I decided to give it a miss. To cure my trigger happy itchy fingers, I just went around firing… >> read more

F3 And FE2

Written by • Jul 3rd, 2010 • Category: Fun with film
It has been weeks since the personal warranty period given to me by the guy who sold me the minty F3 is over and I’ve just (finally) finished the test roll on it. Things got a bit slow (the test roll) and I had to take a risk and hoped that the camera works fine … and it was quite a good thing to see that at least the metering still works great. This test roll is a long expired Mitsubishi 200 film which I pretty like and I remember… >> read more

Poisons Return

There’s no stopping them! While we are trying hard to save our hard-earned money for some better purposes … here comes more ‘toys’ to make you reach for the hammer and creep towards the piggy bank. This seems to be a ‘Rip Curl Fisheye2’ but info about it ain’t available yet in Lomography’s website. It isn’t available in their online store (yet) as I’m typing this. Now it seems every camera is getting the candy-colored makeover eh? Came across this photo above in Facebook and I think they are suppose… >> read more

Newbie Made It!

Written by • Apr 5th, 2010 • Category: Others
I recently registered an account with Lomography’s website for Fitzand and uploaded some of the photos he took in their gallery. Soon after that, I saw a photo rumble asking for submissions of newbies’ self portraits and of course I helped him submit one from this recent Fisheye2 roll of self portraits. Today the results were announced and … He made it!!! Yay!!! Guess he won’t understand too much of it when I explain to it to him later tonight but I’m gonna give him my Fisheye2 cam as a… >> read more
