Miun (aka Noreen aka Norya) … a very talented friend of mine has been spending a lot of time exploring some very cool methods of experimenting with the Impossible Project films and deriving at really neat works. Come July and September 2013 … she will be exhibiting her works in Hong Kong and you guys definitely have to go check it out if you are there. I’m gonna bug her for a ticket to Hong Kong (plus beer and accomodation!)  for being her #1 fan! For more information about these… >> read more

It has been over a week since I took this shot with my SX-70 and it is only now that I remember to scan it. Maybe I’ll try take a couple more shots this weekend … scan them and try do emulsion lift before the images fade away (like my memory). The film used was a pack of Impossible Project’s PX70 Color Protection. I walk along an empty street I love the sounding of my feet It makes me feel so good and though There’s nobody else around, not a… >> read more

Last Friday evening on the way to fetch Fitzand from the kindergarten … my phone buzzed and in came an email. I took a quick look and went ‘Whoa!!! OMG!!! Really??!!!’. A week sure zapped by fast and the 1 week exhibition of my ‘Unmasking Negativity’ at ThirtySix comes to an end. For those who didn’t make it there for the exhibition, here are the photos … This one above was the first photo that made it into this set. If you haven’t already read about it earlier, these are negatives from the Impossible Project’s PZ680 film and they were bleached to obtain this blue-ish and weird negative results. It wasn’t really easy coming out with these photos as I had… >> read more

Unmasking Negativity : How?

Written by • Oct 17th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
‘Unmasking Negativity : The Truth Beneath’ is part of the ‘Impossible Lessons’ exhibition where a handful of people get to showcase and share special ‘tricks’ and experiments done using the Impossible Project films and Spectra cameras. I was pretty lost in the beginning … not knowing what to do and neither had I any experiment in mind. Doing stuffs like double exposures seemed a little too common … so I decided to take a risk (and waste lots of film) and try something different. Perhaps it was just luck that… >> read more

The Aftermath

Written by • Oct 14th, 2011 • Category: Others
It has been on display at ThirtySix as part of the Impossible Lessons exhibition for almost a week already. This is the one camera I blogged about spending lots of time & effort on. After doing some pretty looking ‘dressed up’ cameras in the past, this one is a big change … as I was trying to beautify and then ‘uglify’ it. Sorry about the lousy photos of it … as I could only shoot with one hand that day. It was hours before I delivered the camera to ThirtySix… >> read more

40 A Pop

Woke up this morning to receive a message from a friend saying that ‘you are quoted in the papers!’. So I picked up the Sunday Times to check out what’s going on … just to find that there is an article about the Impossible Project films. I did a short interview with them some weeks back regarding it but being shy by nature (don’t laugh!) … I refused to have photos of my fat face taken grinning with the cameras for it. The talented Noreen (aka Miun) was the ultimate… >> read more
