Good news for all the Lomography/toy camera lovers here in Singapore! Just got notified by ThirtySix that they are having a super great sale from 10th June to 10th July 2011! So what’s the bad news? The bad news is only for our wallets and credit cards! Hey … but then … why not? 😀 They are also having a ‘private film sale’ tonight at 8pm to 9pm. Hmm … maybe I’ll drop by, pick up a bucket of film and then get them to buy me a bucket of… >> read more

Kipon Tilt Adapter

Written by • Jul 13th, 2010 • Category: Digital stuffs
My dream of getting a tilt-shift adapter to use on my Olympus E-P1/E-PL1 went crashing out of the window when I found out that a Japanese company/shop was coming out with one that costs about US$400. That’s a lot of money for an adapter and I gave up all hopes … until recently … somehow my itchy fingers typed ‘w … w … w … e … b … a … y … c … o … m’. Out of the blue, I was suddenly reminded of the tilt-shift adapter… >> read more

20% OFF : Chinon!

Written by • Apr 15th, 2010 • Category: Others
After holding a knife at Jimmy … one of the bosses of 8storeytree/ThirtySix, I managed to CONvince him to give some of you Harinezumi/Chinon cute digital toy fans a good deal. He agreed (in fear) to give a 20% discount off the usual price of S$260 for each purchase of the Chinon edition of the Digital Harinezumi! Cool ain’t it? The Chinon edition is actually a rebranded version of the first generation of the Harinezumi camera. This is the only version that allows you to tweak the colors (you can… >> read more

Pretty Got Slim

Written by • Mar 27th, 2010 • Category: Toys
I went through several old Nikon film SLRs in the past and finally ended up with a Nikon FA. It is not that I started photography back in the old days (though I’m kinda old), but the SLRs were bought & sold only after I got ‘trapped’ in this analogue photography stuffs due to Lomography. Anyway, after putting the ring on my Nikon FA (just like I did to my wife), I got a Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.4 lens to be it’s permanent partner. Honestly … in the back of… >> read more

Pancake + Pancake

Written by • Oct 13th, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
I’ve always thought the Olympus E-P1 is a very good camera and thought the 17mm f2.8 pancake lens is the only one I’ll ever own for use on it. Unfortunately … along came Panasonic and their GF1, another Micro 4/3 system camera and with it … comes a bright Lumix 20mm f1.7 pancake lens that sent a tsunami into my bank balance. Duh! The lens is not available here in Singapore yet (except when buying it with the camera body), so after quite some consideration … I decided to get… >> read more

Almost Free!

Written by • Sep 17th, 2009 • Category: Toys
Right after the clown colored CMYK Diana F+ was released, being the sucker I’ve always been … I placed an order for it because I had 70 piggies (US$ credit) with them. So in minutes the order was placed. Minutes later, I changed my mind. I wanted to maybe change it to the bundle with the Diana Mini and perhaps a Gorillapod. So I quickly login to cancel the order before it is processed and luckily I was able to do so. I clicked the ‘cancel order’ button and guess… >> read more

Jaded

Written by • Aug 14th, 2009 • Category: Others
Been feeling quite bored and depressed the last few days. I do not know why. Tired. Jaded. I’ll be helping a friend shoot her flower arrangements for a competition tomorrow morning and my camera batteries has not been charged yet. Duh! I’ve gotta make sure I remember doing so tonight. Here’s a photo I dug outta my HDD and gave it some post-processing work … Received an email last night from Shutterstock, a micro-stock photo site that I used to upload some of my photos to earn some extra pocket… >> read more

Charity Sale (Updated)

Written by • Jun 23rd, 2009 • Category: Others
UPDATE 21 Oct 2011 – “She is pain free and she gave us her parting smile.” were the words in her blog that made me real upset this morning. Charmaine has left us but I’m sure she is now in a better world than this. I do not personally know her or her family but on behalf of them, I’d like to thank all those who has helped the family in this ‘fight’. No … we didn’t lose. Charmaine was strong and she won herself a flight to a more… >> read more

Please do consider ‘adopting’ them for charity and contact me for viewing and sale. If you are residing in Singapore, I would gladly accept cheques made payable to the charity of your choice.
