The title of this entry (One Roll, Three Countries) may sound like some cool project I did but honestly … it is just a simple title to describe this roll of Neopan 400 loaded into my GR21 when I was in Japan early this year. As I have been struck by some strange illness called ‘no-mood-to-shoot’ (which is slowly recovering), I took only a handful of shots during that trip and then despite my desperate attempt to finish the 36 frames here in Singapore later … it still ended up… >> read more

Before I go take a rest after a super long (and tiring) day … here are the only few digital shots I took today. I know many of us here in Singapore have grown super tired looking at photos from the Gardens By The Bay but ermm … here are the few from me. I do have a few fireworks shots taken during the National Day celebration last night (from my window) but I ain’t gonna bore you guys by posting them.
Hey I’ve got a starburst!!!!
Ermmm my one… >> read more
Fitzand’s didn’t have to attend class today and so I took a day off to babysit him. After breakfast I took him for a fun time at Gardens By The Bay … and lugging along my Mamiya 645 Pro TL for a test drive. I picked up this (darn heavy) beast some time back but just couldn’t find the time (and mood) to test drive it. The camera looks a little seasoned and I was a little worried it might give me problem since it is way past the few… >> read more
I’m getting closer to clearing all the partially exposed rolls of film left stuck in some cameras. This time … a roll of Lomography redscale film finally got fully exposed and it in are some random shots from Taiwan and Singapore. Well … only 2 were shot in Taiwan.
I could only find time to scan 4 of them and will try stay awake tonight to finish scanning the others.
Most of them seem to be a underexposed and looks very red!
This one (above) was taken during a short… >> read more
30 minutes til we check out and hop on the next flight back to Singapore. The 8 days vacation just zapped past and it is back home … to reality! I’ll upload these photos taken on the streets of Taipei now … so that I won’t have a backlog of photos to go through when I get back home.
My favorite shot (above) … the only one in color. I walked back to the scene 3 minutes after walking past to take this shot … right in front of them.… >> read more
Finally Saturday is here and I can give the Pentax Q a test run. Unfortunately … while I was holding it without a wrist strap (duh!), Fitzand knocked it off my hand and now the cute little Q has some scars. Thank God it still functions well.
I did some low light shots to test how the little sensor performs but I’ll post them later. So far I find the low light performance is pretty good despite the tiny sensor but if you wanna know more accurate info about it… >> read more
Since the childcare/kindergarten was closed on last Friday and I was on leave to look after Fitzand … I took him for a very hot day at the Universal Studios Singapore. He had lots of fun especially at the Transformers ride which he had been looking forward to.
Fitzand got to experience 3D and 4D for the first time during those rides. It was funny seeing him go ‘Huh! Daddy! Is that saliva?!’ when a character sneezed and water sprinkled on us.
Ermm … Mr Funny suddenly gave me the… >> read more

I’m pretty addicted to using this camera with the 35mm back but today … I decided to whip out my 220 film back and loaded a roll of negatives it in. That’s one of the few rolls of 220 film I have … given to me by the guy who sold… >> read more
Not sure if I’ll live to see tomorrow after posting some of these images that has the face of an iconic Lomographer here in Singapore. Hehehehe! Hahahaha! She’ll definitely turn up at my door in an hour or so with a chainsaw after seeing these … therefore this might just be my last blog post.
Anyway … to prolong my life a little … here are some ‘safer’ photos I took yesterday after an appointment with the dentist. I actually shot a roll of IR black & white film but… >> read more
Some random test shots with the Lensbaby Edge 80 optic yesterday. Didn’t have much time to shoot though. I’m beginning to get used to focusing with this optic although shooting moving subjects is sure a big challenge.
Luckily focus was okay when he suddenly gave me the thumbs-up!
Okay … so few of these (above) are still subjects but these below are the more challenging ones …
That’s all for now. Gotta go get a shower and run off to my clients place. Gotta do migration and upgrades for several… >> read more
