Plus A Doggie

Written by • Jan 7th, 2013 • Category: Toys

Put the finishing touch to the Nano blocks digital camera yesterday and it should now be sitting comfortably somewhere in a friend’s place. I was hunting for a nice display box for it but somehow most were either too big or simply unsuitable. Then I suddenly remembered having this display box that I bought from Ikea … many many years ago.

The box didn’t really fit too nicely because the camera was a little too big but luckily I was able to tape up the back with the camera nicely… >> read more

Nano Block Toy Camera

Written by • Dec 27th, 2012 • Category: Toys

I couldn’t find any of these cute little Nano Block cameras in Tokyo when I was there not too long ago and as I was slowly forgetting about it … those (grrr!!!) lovely guys from ThirtySix started carrying this product! They come in red, yellow, white, black and blue and since I was picking an extra set up for a buddy … I went for two sets … a red and a yellow.

Candy colored packaging. Yummy!

It comes with a small pack of extra blocks for you to have… >> read more

Meet Pandacake!

Written by • Jan 27th, 2012 • Category: Others

It is great to be back home in Singapore after 5 days in Malaysia to celebrate the Lunar New Year with my folks. One of the coolest thing  to happen during the trip was the delivery of my Pandacake … a character from the wooden Pecanpals series by designer Noferin. This is from the third and final edition of the Pecanpals … the monochrome edition. No prize for guessing why I choose Pandacake.

This cute little wooden girl came in a very neat packaging.

I didn’t take her out… >> read more

Mistakes With Diana

Written by • Nov 1st, 2011 • Category: Fun with film

Forgetting what film was loaded into a Diana F+ camera was probably one big mistake. Realising that I’ve not been using my Diana F+ camera for the longest time and deciding to bring it along with the roll of film (that I loaded in it maybe over a year ago and not know what film) for my recent Hong Kong trip … was another big mistake.

I thought I had a roll of ISO400 film loaded and happily fired away (although I only managed to that roll of 120 film… >> read more

Composer gone Pro!

Written by • Aug 27th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs

Yeah … my Lensbaby Composer has gone pro. Received the Pro version of the Composer from Lensbaby yesterday and it answered all my questions before about how different can it be from the normal version. After drawing a Hello Kitty leaving a big ‘X’ on the polling slip for the Presidential Election this morning, we went out for a great breakfast with some friends and then spent some time doing some shopping … and of course for me … some shooting!

This set of candid photos above is my favourite… >> read more

Gizmon Half D : 1st Look

Written by • Aug 1st, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs

I borrowed this little cute and sexy Gizmon Half D digital toy camera from Jimmy last week to have a feel of how it works. One look and most analogue cam lovers will know that the design is very much like the Olympus Pen F series of wonderful half frame cameras from the past but this one is super duper small (and cute!). There are several lens attachments but I’ve yet to try them on the camera. They are attached by simply placing them on the front of the lens.… >> read more

La Sardinas : Which One?

Written by • Jun 22nd, 2011 • Category: Toys

The much anticipated pretty new toy cameras from Lomography arrived at ThirtySix! The La Sardinas! I couldn’t decide on which one to buy and after some very (tough) consideration … I went for all four. Why is it that difficult to decide? Well … unlike cameras like the Blackbird, Fly which is a matter of choosing the color … the La Sardina has more to offer (in terms of the design). See below for some snapshots of the differences and try pick one that you like.

The El Capitan! My… >> read more

Good news for all the Lomography/toy camera lovers here in Singapore! Just got notified by ThirtySix that they are having a super great sale from 10th June to 10th July 2011!
