But!!!

At the moment I have about 100 piggies (credits in US$) in Lomography’s website and just when I was hoping they’ll launch a new Diana F+ clone so I can happily use the piggies to pay for my purchase … out comes a brand new Diana F+ clone called ‘Aviator’!!!! But … BUT!!! BUT!!!! … it ain’t sold in Lomography’s website!!! Damn!!! It’s another exclusive edition made just for Urban Outfitters (the earlier one being the ‘Dreamer’)!!! Argh!!! I so want this Aviator (I’m sure you ain’t surprised) and … arghhhh!!!! Luckily a friend is planning to order some cool headphone from Urban Outfitters and maybe I can share shipping with him … but!! but!!! but he is trying to make me buy a cool headphone too!!! I’m dead meat!!!

I want this!

but I love this too!

The postman arrived at my office with a pretty big box today and when I saw it .. I went ‘Whoa! Who sent me goodies?!!’. From far, I saw there is a DSLR printed on top of the box and heartbeat accelerated … ‘Is that a camera??!!!’. Nah! Not! I held the box and it was very light. So what on earth is in it? Opening it up … I almost fainted.

In it is actually the ‘goodie bag’ that I was supposed to received then I signed up for the Olympus eClub thingie recently. When I bought my E-P1, I was told that I can redeem an extra battery from Olympus but on one condition … I had to sign up with their eClub thingie that promises some privileges etc for S$45. Huh? I wasn’t really interested. I had to pay S$45 to join the club but after doing some math … a brand new battery will cost around S$80 to S$90 … and if I go for this ‘offer’, I’ll just end up paying around half the price of it. Hmm … so I drove all the way to their Olympus Studio and signed up … collected the battery and forgot all about it (the eClub thingie).

What’s in the ‘goodie bag’? See this …

Amazing ain’t it? No … not the content. It’s the box! The size of the box! Why would they use such a big box to package these stuffs? I’m sure a box of half (or even small) the size can fit these stuffs well. Why waste? Guess someone in their office must not be too environment friendly or cost effective eh?
