Just steps away from the spot where most of us stand to take our cancer sticks … outside my office … I saw this accident scene that makes me wonder how in the universe can that cab end up there. Sometimes when it is raining or too damn hot … we’ll be waiting for cabs at that shelter too! I mean … the cabs should arrive but NOT THIS WAY!
Luckily there didn’t seem to be anyone standing at the shelters (or were they already rushed to the hospital?). Usually there are people waiting for cabs or taking a puff there too! That stretch of road (Bukit Timah Rd opposite Tekka market) is usually pretty dangerous … with some mad ass drivers zooming past (yeah … even buses!) and what makes it worse is the current road/MRT construction going on … the road is long and curvy.
A snapshot taken with my phone cam.
Not sure if that cabbie was avoiding some other cars or lost control of his vehicle (something we read in the news very often … drivers losing control of cars (??!!!)) but after witnessing so many cabbies who drive like F1 drivers … I ain’t surprised. Just glad (or hope) that nobody got hurt in this accident.
I guess we’ll go to the back of the office for our daily dose of cancer sticks from now on. Grrrr!!!
Wait! I usually don’t give a damn about doing a blog entry about all these. Hahaha! Maybe I should get back to finish scanning my remaining rolls of photos from Japan.
