Yet to try the Monochrome mode in my E-P1, so I decided to take some random shots during my long weekend in Malaysia to see how it performs. I set the camera to Monochrome mode with red filter and also upped the saturation to +2. Most of these shots were taken at around ISO800.
These are not straight-out-of-the-camera shots because I did some level adjustment to them to give them a darker feel. However, I was pretty impressed by the Monochrome mode as well as the pretty nice grains to them. Here’s the original straight-out-of-the-camera version of the photo above.
I should have played with the other color filters in the Monochrome mode but I … ermm … forgot to do so. Hahaha.
I used the E-P1 to capture some (very) short video clips during Fitzand’s performance in his childcare’s National Day celebration last Friday too. I’ll need to find some time to piece them together before adding it to my blog … hopefully tonight. You might realise that I’ve been blogging quite often about this camera eh? Hahaha. I find it strange too. Maybe I’m loving it too much!
