MZ-S Roll 2 From Japan

Written by • Nov 29th, 2012 • Category: Fun with film
This is the 2nd roll I shot with the Pentax MZ-S. It is the 2nd and final roll of color (xpro-ed) film I shot before I switched to using the GR21 with black & white film. I can’t remember exactly what that roll of expired film was but ermm … nevermind. 😛 I suspect that if I had not bought the GR21 and started doing some test shots with it … I might have ended up shooting 5 or more rolls with the MZ-S. It has become my favourite film… >> read more

Rides, Birthday, Ice

Since the childcare/kindergarten was closed on last Friday and I was on leave to look after Fitzand … I took him for a very hot day at the Universal Studios Singapore. He had lots of fun especially at the Transformers ride which he had been looking forward to. Fitzand got to experience 3D and 4D for the first time during those rides. It was funny seeing him go ‘Huh! Daddy! Is that saliva?!’ when a character sneezed and water sprinkled on us. Ermm … Mr Funny suddenly gave me the… >> read more

Fitzand & Pooh

I was at ThirtySix yesterday to pick up some Instax Wide film and since Fitzand was with me … I asked if he’d like a pack of the Instax Mini that has cartoons on them. Jimmy almost got me into big trouble when he took 4 packs of the film with different cartoons on them … and placed them right in front of Fitzand. Luckily Fitzand picked only one … the one with Winnie The Pooh design and I escaped from paying for another 3 packs of the highly addictive… >> read more

Fun On Ice

Fitzand jumped out of bed (early!) this morning and asked me ‘Today is Saturday? Going Disney On Ice?’. With half opened eyes I mumbled something like ‘Oh yeah ~’ and he immediately dragged me outta bed. After brunch, we made our way to the indoor stadium and the little boss as super excited. Of course he had big fun watching his ‘friends’ in action … Mickey, Goofy … and Simba! He got a bonus when his mommy bought him a Simba soft toy. 😀 Popcorn ready! As if trying to… >> read more

His Room

I woke up from a short nap just now and since Fitzand was still in dreamland … I suddenly had the idea of capturing some photos of stuffs in his room. He’s almost 4 now and I’m sure it won’t be too long before all the stuffs (ie. toys & stickers) etc are replaced with some other toys for older kids (don’t scare me by saying ‘gadgets & cameras’) and the Mickey & friends posters might be replaced with some rock star posters (boybands not really welcomed :P). Bikini babes?… >> read more

Constipation Boogie

Fitzand was taking a dump after dinner … before I gave him a bath and suddenly he told me that he wanted to sing. Hahaha! Okay … that’s perfectly okay. Jokingly I asked if he’d like me to video him singing in the toilet and he immediately said ‘Yes! Yes!’. OMG! I started laughing but he insisted that I go grab my camera and so I made a quick dash for the cam and ermm … made a little video. 😀 He was singing some song from the Handy Manny… >> read more

Lonely No More

Ever since I found that pancake lens to use on my Nikon FA … I find myself not wanting to remove it (from the body) and thus my 50mm lens got neglected for a while. I took pity on it and managed to find a good condition black Nikon F3 to ‘accompany’ the poor lonely lens and I really love the combo! The moment I held that F3 in my hands … I could feel that it is solid like a tank! Cool! A little heavy but might be handy… >> read more

Redscaling In Disney

I somehow suspect the metering on my LC-A+ is a little crazy now … after the couple of rolls screwed up during my doubles exchange with Fabienne from France. That was because I underexposed my rolls and they ended up darker than they should be and almost all my exposures were not visible. I forgot about that matter when I loaded a roll of redscale film into my LC-A+ during my Tokyo trip recently. Gosh. I was a little worried when I remembered that I didn’t do any compensation (of… >> read more

Lo Batt -.-

My battery is running very low now as I’m typing this. After having one too many beer last night and waking up early morning to bring my family to the zoo … I haven’t really got any rest since my eyes opened this morning. We had great time at the zoo but unfortunately the ‘Mini Explorer’ thingie which we usually rent to cart Fitzand around was ‘out of stock’. That caused me to be his replacement ‘vehicle’ at the zoo and after about 5 hours there … I drove home… >> read more

LC-A+ In Japan (Roll 2)

After scanning the roll of Sensia last week, I just couldn’t find enough time to get the images outta the 2nd roll. This second roll is another roll of randoms but this time … using Fujichrome MS 100/1000. It has become one of my favourite film for cross processing and I simply love the different colors it produces under different lighting. Some of these were taken indoors at the mall near the hotel in Disney … and look how steady my hand was! Hahaha! Yeah … I didn’t touch beer… >> read more
