Paint, Pancakes, Pain

Keeping my promise to give Fitzand’s bedroom a makeover … I had a little discussion with him and we decided on a Power Rangers themed room since he’s a big fan of those strange heroes in colorful tight clothings who can create explosions behind them just by posing. What I didn’t realise … having to remove the hundreds of stickers on all 3 walls … was a nightmare! That wasn’t actually the biggest (and painful) part. There were a lot of double sided tapes that seemed to be of industrial… >> read more

Ello Elephant!

Written by • Nov 29th, 2011 • Category: Others
The Elephant Parade is here and when we were out shopping last weekend, after checking out the numerous awesome designs (on the elephants) … Fitzand was attracted by a mini elephant sculpture painting activity in a corner. Luckily he preferred to paint one at home … otherwise I might have to wait there for hours before he can finish one. That is if he has the patience to sit there that long. Anyway … we picked up a blank elephant sculpture and headed home. I saved ten bucks because we… >> read more

The Aftermath

Written by • Oct 14th, 2011 • Category: Others
It has been on display at ThirtySix as part of the Impossible Lessons exhibition for almost a week already. This is the one camera I blogged about spending lots of time & effort on. After doing some pretty looking ‘dressed up’ cameras in the past, this one is a big change … as I was trying to beautify and then ‘uglify’ it. Sorry about the lousy photos of it … as I could only shoot with one hand that day. It was hours before I delivered the camera to ThirtySix… >> read more

Pop Goes The Rocket

Written by • Jul 8th, 2011 • Category: Others
There is no doubt that the Sprocket Rocket is one fun camera and after turning my original black version gold (as a birthday present), I bought the white edition as I thought it looks neat. Now Lomography has gone wild again by turning this sleek camera … ermm … very colorful. This somehow reminds me of what they did to their Fisheye camera in the past but I’m sure some of you might love the very ‘hot’ colors. I like the orange version. No … I am NOT gonna buy… >> read more

Doubles, Doubles On The Wall

Written by • Apr 26th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
Probably the roll that was left fermenting for the longest time in my LC-A+. It was a roll I prepared for a double exposure … probably end of last year and then couldn’t find time to finish shooting it until now. It is pretty fun looking at the photos and go ‘Whoa! That was taken sometime in February this year!’. Here are the messy (I love mess!) photos … This one below was taken at the 2011 Chingay parade rehearsal. Oh man … how time flies! The first exposure in… >> read more

Don’t Be Naked!

Written by • Mar 26th, 2010 • Category: Others
After seeing how more people are putting some effort to ‘dress up’ their cameras, I decided to start a page in Facebook to house images of the many wonderful, cool, crazy, weird, funky, cute or sometimes bizarre looking cameras … for everyone to enjoy. Was pretty surprised to find that the number of fans hit over a hundred overnight! Photos are coming in real fast too and I do hope these photos can inspire more people to start dressing up their cameras. After all … naked cameras suck! As I’m… >> read more

White Is The New Black

Written by • Jan 19th, 2010 • Category: Others
I’ve often heard people saying that big black cameras makes one look more ‘professional’. Hahaha! I always find that funny but then I’m sure it does make a professional look more serious in his/her work. Wannabes love lugging around big black cameras too! Thank God there are camera manufacturers who thinks that white cameras are cool and we’ve seen some cameras out there … clad sexily in white. I recently came across this special white edition of the tiny Minox digital camera. Personally I think it will look cooler if… >> read more

Painter At Work

Written by • Sep 28th, 2009 • Category: Others
It took them quite a while to get this prize I won in the Jones Soda – Lomography contest delivered but it finally came in the mail today. The Lomo POP9 … super-duper-plasticky 9 lens camera. 😀 Spent the evening guiding and helping Fitzand complete his DIY lantern ‘project’ which actually was due today but we overlooked it. Hahaha! So it was quite a rush for us to complete it and hand it over to the teachers tomorrow. I think they are having some moon cake festival thingie going on… >> read more

Fitzcasso

I’ve always love to see kids’ drawings that are full of innocence and often wild funny results. Just the other day when we were having dinner, the lady at the restaurant gave Fitzand some crayons to draw on those large white paper on the table and he did have big fun drawing and scribbling all over it. Despite the fact that he can’t really draw properly yet, you can see roughly that he is ‘getting there’ … hahaha … or can’t you? Sorry for the lousy photos because my compact… >> read more

Kiddo Art

Written by • May 10th, 2009 • Category: Others
Just the other day, Fitzand came home from childcare with a plastic file containing some of the ‘art’ they did in class. I decided to photograph each and every one of them and keep a ‘collection’ of these funny and cute work in my blog here. Here’s one he did (of course with the help of his teachers) for Mothers’ Day. It’s Mothers’ Day today … so here’s wishing all the wonderful mothers in the world a very Happy Mothers’ Day. Thank you for everything. The rest of Fitzand’s ‘artwork’… >> read more
