Another weekend coming to an end and my battery is pretty much flat … with just enough juice to post this entry … then off to bed. Met up with some friends at Farmart this evening … enjoyed some … ermm … ‘fermented malt & barley’ in the bright daylight as well as munching some yummies. Fitzand had big fun feeding goats too! Jimmy (from ThirtySix) gave me an Instant Kit for the Lomo LC-Wide and since I had my instant back with me … I burned slightly over a… >> read more

Pop Goes The Rocket

Written by • Jul 8th, 2011 • Category: Others
There is no doubt that the Sprocket Rocket is one fun camera and after turning my original black version gold (as a birthday present), I bought the white edition as I thought it looks neat. Now Lomography has gone wild again by turning this sleek camera … ermm … very colorful. This somehow reminds me of what they did to their Fisheye camera in the past but I’m sure some of you might love the very ‘hot’ colors. I like the orange version. No … I am NOT gonna buy… >> read more

A LC-Wide Miracle Roll!

Written by • May 30th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
It has been quite some worrying hours since the night shoot with Jim & Noreen on Saturday night (you can read about it here) as I was really hoping to see some of my own first photos with the LC-W. I quickly fired away the remaining frames yesterday and made a dash to the lab during lunch today. The moment the guy at the lab handed me the film strips … I asked him ‘gone case?’ and he replied ‘not really … got things!’. Miracle happened! Well … at least… >> read more

Strangers

Street photography is something I always enjoy doing and with the X100 … now I’m trying to ‘relaunch’ my love for such photography. I sure wish the X100 has the ‘snap focus’ thingie that the Ricoh GRD3 offers but then … it still ain’t too bad as a street photography cammie. πŸ˜€ No longer having the luxury to take some hours off to just roam the streets to capture photos … I can only whip out my cam and fire shots while out with my boy or on family outings.… >> read more

Pentax MZ-3 : Test Run

Written by • May 9th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
Finally a roll of Lomo Xpro 100 loaded into a Pentax MZ-3 I bought some time ago to maximize the use of my 43mm lens is done, developed and scanned. πŸ˜€ I was pretty confident the camera body will work great as I picked it up from an old friend and since it is an autofocus one … shooting was real easy and fun. What puzzled me (and still is) was that even though I set the lens to f1.9 … the display on the camera showed f2.0. Perhaps there… >> read more

Hot Day. Mothers’ Day!

Written by • May 8th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
Happy Mothers’ day to every mother in the world! It has been a super duper ultra hot day and despite gulping a fair amount of icy cold beer … I am still thinking of (a bit) more now. πŸ˜€ Just came back from an early dinner with my family and friends … celebrating Mother’s Day this year at Jerry’s BBQ & Grill … eating … ermm … some not very healthy food (as usual). As we left home a bit earlier, we brought Fitzand to the Animal Resort to let… >> read more

X-100 : Random Tests

Written by • May 3rd, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
It was quite a wait to get the Fujifilm X-100 at a good price and recently when there was an opportunity to grab one at super good price (don’t ask me who, where or how … as I ain’t suppose to tell) … I didn’t think twice and here are some initial random test shots with it. Well … I have many other shots but they are mostly of my boy and I don’t wanna flood the entry with all of them (but you can see the first few I… >> read more

Doubles, Doubles On The Wall

Written by • Apr 26th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
Probably the roll that was left fermenting for the longest time in my LC-A+. It was a roll I prepared for a double exposure … probably end of last year and then couldn’t find time to finish shooting it until now. It is pretty fun looking at the photos and go ‘Whoa! That was taken sometime in February this year!’. Here are the messy (I love mess!) photos … This one below was taken at the 2011 Chingay parade rehearsal. Oh man … how time flies! The first exposure in… >> read more

Sweaty Pinhole Day

Written by • Apr 24th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
Joined some friends from LomotionSG for a World Pinhole Day outing to the zoo today and after being kicked outta bed by Fitzand at around 7am … it was a really tiring outing. To make things worse … weather was ultra hot and wifey was complaining about being hot and tired. Baaaah!!! Luckily I still managed to finish a roll of 120 on the Multi Pinhole Operator but I ain’t sure if anything is gonna come outta it. We’ll see tomorrow when I make a trip to the lab. Anyway… >> read more

PX680 : The Last Few

Written by • Apr 20th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
My pack of Impossible Project’s PX680 Color Shade beta test film is finally empty after these. πŸ™ Do I wanna buy more of these later? Hmm … I’m dying to finish the last 6 shots on my LC-A+ but somehow it seems very difficult lately. Hahahaha! Noreen would say ‘no soul!’ for sure. Anyway … I’m looking forward to the outing to the zoo with some friends on World Pinhole day. Hope I can fire a couple of rolls (120) on the Multi Pinhole Operator that day.… >> read more
