Knock! Knock!

Knock! Knock! Yes I’m still around! It seems like a decade since I last updated this blog and I finally spent some time last night to iron out some technical hiccups in the photo gallery (in Fitzand’s photo gallery section). I’m glad I still remember my login and password! Since I am already logged in … I thought I might just create a post here to say a big ‘HELLO!’ to everyone out there. I’ll try harder to post more photos soon. So what’s been up? Too many to mention… >> read more

Toy Lens : Fun?

Written by • Mar 5th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
Since my last blog entry about the Toy Lens from SLR Magic, I got some requests for more sample photos and also a couple of questions … asking if I do find it fun. I decided to give up trying to write a review about this lens because … ermm … I can’t write well … I ain’t good at doing reviews … and ermmm …. I will just end up saying ‘Buy this lens! It is fun!’. 😀 Focal length : 26mm (52mm on m4/3) Aperture : f1.4 –… >> read more

Cutie Chobi Cammie

Little digital cameras seem to be invading the earth nowadays. After the highly successful Digital Harinezumi … came the tiny keychain camera FDC01 and of course others like the VistaQuest etc. Most of them take very low resolution videos/photos but this one which I just came across is a little different. This little wonder takes videos at 1280 x 960 30 fps (AVI format) and still photos at a resolution of 2048 x 1536! The Chobi camera! Here’s a cool intro/review by the famous buy-and-play-every-camera-on-earth Mijonju … Pretty neat isn’t… >> read more

New Cute Digital Toy!

Written by • Jan 19th, 2010 • Category: Toys
Cashing in on the toy camera craze, there seems to be more small/tiny cameras appearing in the scene. So far … I think the Digital Harinezumi has done pretty well compared to the rest. The pretty new kids on the block are some very small sized cameras with a boring name … “FDC01”. They come in either blue or red (looks more like pink to me) … and like the VistaQuest cameras … they are supposed to be ‘keychain cameras’. I was told that it is called the ‘SQ28m’ in… >> read more

Yashica EZ F521 : A Review

Written by • Nov 1st, 2009 • Category: Others
Some of you might remember that I recently blogged about this camera that some call ‘the digital Holga’. There wasn’t any sample photos or details about the kind of photo it produces, so I guess most of the interest were kept in the ‘let’s just wait for some reviews’ department. A friend just sent me this link that has a short video review as well as some sample photos taken with this retro looking digital camera. So how does it (not) perform? Check this video out … Interesting? Here’s the… >> read more

Deja-vu! He Is Back!

Written by • Oct 5th, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
Ever since I sold off my Fujifilm F200EXR, I’ve been left without a pocketable compact camera (I’ve a Lumix water/shock proof cam but that’s more for rough use (or Fitzand’s use) and the photos from it kinda sucks) and after messing around with a friend’s Ricoh GRD 3 … I used the $ from the F200EXR sale plus a couple of other cams I sold recently … to purchase a GRD 3. It’s like deja-vu when I opened up the box and held the camera in my hands. Yeah …… >> read more

Surprise!!!

Written by • May 7th, 2009 • Category: Toys
I was pretty surprised when the postman arrived with a small parcel at my office today. The first thing that I asked myself “Did I buy any new toy?!!!” … and I knew for (damn) sure I didn’t. So what on earth is that suspicious looking box for? Taking a closer look, I then realised that it’s from FourCornerStore. It’s a new online toy camera store run by Nic from the cool toy camera website/blog with the same name. Check out the website/blog here. Opening up the box gave me… >> read more
