MZ-S Roll 2 From Japan

Written by • Nov 29th, 2012 • Category: Fun with film
This is the 2nd roll I shot with the Pentax MZ-S. It is the 2nd and final roll of color (xpro-ed) film I shot before I switched to using the GR21 with black & white film. I can’t remember exactly what that roll of expired film was but ermm … nevermind. 😛 I suspect that if I had not bought the GR21 and started doing some test shots with it … I might have ended up shooting 5 or more rolls with the MZ-S. It has become my favourite film… >> read more

Sunny Rehab 2012

Written by • Aug 29th, 2012 • Category: Digital stuffs
The last time I joined the Sunny Rehab organized by ThirtySix was in 2010. Did I miss the one in 2011 or did they not organize one? Anyway … after Fitzand’s music lesson in the morning last Sunday … I brought him & his mommy to Bollywood Veggies to meet the many photography (film/Lomo/whatever!) fans there. They chartered a bus to bring them to few places planned for the day and since we were late … we had to skip the goat farm and started our fun at the vegetable… >> read more

So Want These!

Written by • Feb 9th, 2012 • Category: Others
Personally … I think these are two of the most beautiful cameras Lomography ever created. Really! Now that’s my personal opinion … maybe because I love how raw they look. Lomography … why do you have to do this? Even if you have to do it … why do two of them at the same time?!!! I ain’t got a piggy in my Lomography account and I still need to keep some money for beer! Duh! When I first saw the Coyote … I told myself ‘Okay … get this… >> read more

LomoKino : iLike!

Written by • Nov 3rd, 2011 • Category: Toys
The clues & images Lomography recently teased us with already concluded that this is gonna be one fun awesome camera and many of us could hear our wallets cry in pain. The people at ThirtySix told me they have one pre-ordered for me (WTH?!) and yet I haven’t recovered from the damage of buying the metal La Sardinas!!! Arghhh!!! Here comes LomoKino! “Create movies of 144 frames on any 35mm analogue film. Watch your developed movies with the LomoKinoScope.” Good thing is this new toy is pretty reasonably priced and… >> read more

The Aftermath

Written by • Oct 14th, 2011 • Category: Others
It has been on display at ThirtySix as part of the Impossible Lessons exhibition for almost a week already. This is the one camera I blogged about spending lots of time & effort on. After doing some pretty looking ‘dressed up’ cameras in the past, this one is a big change … as I was trying to beautify and then ‘uglify’ it. Sorry about the lousy photos of it … as I could only shoot with one hand that day. It was hours before I delivered the camera to ThirtySix… >> read more

Partner For My 50mm

Written by • Oct 11th, 2011 • Category: Toys
After some waiting … finally found a small & solid SLR to partner my 50mm manual lens. Some local seller eventually lowered his asking price for this minty Pentax LX … and the green covering on it is a bonus! 😀 “It is a SLR which has its body structure made of rugged, die cast aluminum-alloy and equipped with a very reliable horizontally traveled Titanium electro-mechanical shutter, which provides a range of variable mechanical shutter speeds that will still be functional and withstanding temperatures down to -30C even in a… >> read more

Out Of Time!

Written by • Sep 23rd, 2011 • Category: Others
Received a piece of good news last night … about my schedule to exhibit some photos / experiment (details available soon) being postponed to mid October. Someone else will get to kick off this cool exhibition for a week first. Phew! This leave me an extra week to get more done. Well … it is not that I will be having tons of photos for it but I’ve been getting some very ‘shocking’ results lately. Also having to divide my time between work, looking after Fitzand … and stealing some… >> read more

Battlefield Pinhole Cam!

Written by • Jul 29th, 2011 • Category: Others
Came across this super duper awesome DIY camera tutorial … to make a ‘Battlefield Pinhole Camera’ by photographer Steven Monteau and thought maybe some of you might wanna build something similar. I was going ‘whoaaaa!’ and itching to try it out but I’ve hardly got enough free time to work on these fun projects lately. 🙁 Anyway … the camera takes 3 rolls of 35mm film and exposes them simultaneously! I’ve seen some photos taken with 2 35mm strips on a Holga but this one … 3 rolls … and… >> read more

Spinning Buddy

Written by • Jun 20th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film
I’m back spinning with my spinning buddy (aka my little boss aka Fitzand)! I’m shy by nature (yeah really!) and hate to be in photographs … but the Spinner leaves me no choice but to rope in Fitzand most of the time when I’m using it. This roll took pretty long to finish because I’m always too lazy to lug around the clumsy Spinner but when I do … we sure have lots of fun! Do click on these images for larger versions. There is an ad (on the left)… >> read more
