Happy Fathers’ Day!!!
Now time sure zap past real fast and it is another Fathers’ Day. It was just last year that I did a short video for the ‘Papa Amigo‘ feature in Lomography’s website.
This year Fitzand made me some lovely cards in school and yesterday we had an early celebration … having a hotpot lunch and some beer in the evening. I got wasted downing too much beer during Mothers’ Day … so this time … I had only 3 pints.
Today I loaded a roll of Kentmere… >> read more

Happy Fathers’ Day!!!
It was just like yesterday that I posted a blog entry that had a photo of a little ‘badge’ that Fitzand made me last year for Father’s Day 2010. I remember the ‘badge’ said that I am #1 and he was going ‘you are #1!!!’ in public … making me wanna go hide under some table. One year later … I still think I’m #1 … yeah … #1 to collapse from the ever tiring task of entertaining him.
The card he made me this year (of course with the… >> read more
Someone from Lomography contacted me recently telling me that I was choosen to be a ‘Best Daddy Lomo Amigo’ (do Lomo Amigos get 50% off all purchases at Lomography stores?) and would like to interview me. Ermm … I actually hate interviews because it is either the same old questions or questions that I find hard to answer.
This one seemed interesting so I agreed and was furnished a set of questions … and also a set of questions for Fitzand. OMG! Interview questions for my little boss? That’s gonna… >> read more
Arrived back here in Singapore around dinner time. Spent almost a week in Malaysia with my folks … celebrating the Lunar New Year. The best part of this yearly celebration is always knowing that the two little ones (Fitzand and his cousin sister) are definitely gonna turn the house upside down with their noise/cries/laughter/shouts etc … and of course not forgetting the beer sessions with my brother.
I tried to get some snapshots of the two little ones and I seriously find it super duper difficult to get them to… >> read more
‘You are #1!!!’ … that’s what Fitzand told me when I asked what this (pic below) thingie he made for me at the childcare was for. Well I know it is for Father’s Day and I was just testing him … but he kept saying (loudly!) … ‘You are #1!!!’. The funny thing was that we were having dinner outside and that caused people from the other tables to look over. Embarassing! Hahaha! I don’t need to be #1 as long as we are happy … although I sure do… >> read more
It might be a bit early but the childcare organized an outing in celebration of Father’s Day today and I was with Fitzand having fun at the ‘Kid’s Kampung‘. We had fun catching fishes, feeding animals and also there was a short ‘meet the pets’ session too. It is Fitzand’s first attempt at catching those little fishes and I decided to let him do it himself instead of helping him scoop a few dozens of them fishes into the little pail. I’ve seen some parents doing just that (catching the… >> read more
Just arrived back here in Singapore this evening after spending 6 days in Malaysia, celebrating the Chinese New Year with my family there. The kids (Fitzand and his cousin sister, Zaydeen) had the most fun during this trip. Guess that is why sometimes when I think back … these celebrations were much more fun when I was young. *cough*
I took some random digital shots to document down the fun filled, waist-extending, liver-damaging and laughter-filled celebration.
As usual, my dad seems to be pretty relaxed about the entire preparation …… >> read more
Came across this website ‘Days With My Father’ by Phillip Toledano and can’t resist but to share it with everyone here. In this life, some are afraid of growing old … while some are in a constant fear of death. There is no way we can change all these but while we are alive, why not make the best of it and appreciate life to the max. Hmm … I am not talking about spending all our money on more cameras!!! Okay … get serious for a while. I’m still… >> read more
Just picked up Fitzand from the childcare center and he gave me a very special surprise … a Father’s Day card made by himself (of course with the help of his teachers). Over here in Singapore, we are celebrating Father’s Day on the 21st June which is this coming Sunday. Well I ain’t really into celebrating such occasions because I believe we don’t have to wait til a specific day in a year to tell our folks how much we love (or hate? ) them … but this card from… >> read more
