Fuzzyeyeballs

Sometimes ideas come at the strangest moments. I sort of gave up trying to think of a new idea/design for the project mentioned in my previous blog entry and today … while out having brunch with some friends … my old brain suddenly went ‘zaaaaap!’ and I now have a pretty cool (I hope) idea for it! It is gonna take some effort (or rather … a lot of them) but I’m sure if it turns out well … it’s gonna be cool (I hope again)!

The 2nd roll from the test shoot. This time … a roll of Reala 100 which also has been sleeping in my fridge for the longest time. These shots were taken this afternoon when I took 2 hours off from babysitting Fitzand to meet up a friend in Chinatown for dim sum. Of course I took opportunity of the ‘freedom’ to burn a roll of film there!

Met up with Jimmy & Noreen for an early dinner today. Came across this place called ‘Stacked’ at Robertson Quay in some online article and thought it will be cool to munch some dim-sum and wash them down with some icy cold beer on a (very depressing since Monday is coming) Sunday.

Taking a break from the madness of work, I took a day off and told Fitzand’s teachers that I’ll be bringing him out for some ‘fun’ today. Got kicked outta bed (on a Saturday morning!) by Fitzand at about 7am and struggled to stay awake the entire day. I decided to play with the SLR Magic’s Toy Lens again today but told myself to give it a short rest while I get back to the film stuffs for a week or two. Joined some friends for Indian food today and being a curious (fat) cat … I tried something that made me go ‘WHOA!!!’. You’ll read about it a little later down this entry … and meanwhile I’ll bore you with a couple of snapshots I took of some of the food.

Some buttered rice with tandoori chicken. Pretty good but the green mint (sour!) sauce makes my eyes roll.

It’s Saturday and the weekend has been so far so good. After a short delay, I finally unpacked all the ‘girls’ (aka Diana cameras) and placed them back in my cabinet. I bet they were wondering what had happened since I collected them back from ThirtySix.

Burned some Instax wide film during my recent trip to Malaysia. This first one is my favourite. It was a lucky shot though. It is already the 5th day since I landed here in Taiwan for a year-end break. Gosh. How time flies. Come Sunday and I’ll have to get my fat butt back in Singapore … and the next day … to W . O . R . K !!!!!!!!
Strange but true … I wasn’t really in the mood to take much photo since the day I landed. Not only with my analogue cams … but also digital ones. I ended up shooting more short video clips instead. Hahaha!
