Warming Up The F3

Written by • Aug 7th, 2012 • Category: Fun with film

Left with not much time and inspiration to shoot, I recently pulled out my old Nikon F3 and loaded a roll of Lomo negatives to give the camera a ‘warm up’. It has been sitting in there (cabinet) for a while now and I sure don’t want it do die a natural death in there. Thank God it still works great!

I only have 2 lenses for the F3 and these were all shot using the Carl Zeiss 50mm f1.4 lens. The other one is an el cheapo macro lens… >> read more

Sardina Re-lovin

Written by • Jun 11th, 2012 • Category: Fun with film

Here’s another roll of film that has been ‘fermenting’ in a camera for some time. This time … it is a roll of Lomography 100 negatives in my La Sardina.

The La Sardina has been one of my favorite Lomography camera!

Was lucky to have some light leaks thrown in for a couple of shots.

Since around 99% of my free time is spent with Fitzand … the little boss’s face appears in quite many frames (again).

Hmm … I can’t recall when I loaded this roll of film but… >> read more

Mistakes With Diana

Written by • Nov 1st, 2011 • Category: Fun with film

Forgetting what film was loaded into a Diana F+ camera was probably one big mistake. Realising that I’ve not been using my Diana F+ camera for the longest time and deciding to bring it along with the roll of film (that I loaded in it maybe over a year ago and not know what film) for my recent Hong Kong trip … was another big mistake.

I thought I had a roll of ISO400 film loaded and happily fired away (although I only managed to that roll of 120 film… >> read more

ETRsi + 135W : Test 3

Written by • Aug 10th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film

Okay … here it is … the final roll from last weekend’s test run with the ETRsi & 135W back. This time … a roll of Sensia 100 cross processed. It is the first time (if I am not wrong) I’m using this film. Love the red/pink output!

There are a couple of shots wasted in this roll due to my mistake. Sometimes I get too excited and forget to switch on the metered prism … sometimes I get too excited and trip the shutter too early while I’m still… >> read more

ETRsi + 135W : Test 2

Written by • Aug 10th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film

The 2nd roll from the test shoot. This time … a roll of Reala 100 which also has been sleeping in my fridge for the longest time. These shots were taken this afternoon when I took 2 hours off from babysitting Fitzand to meet up a friend in Chinatown for dim sum. Of course I took opportunity of the ‘freedom’ to burn a roll of film there!

This photo (above) is my favourite from the roll. This was actually the 2nd shot of a similar scene after I waited there… >> read more

ETRsi + 135W : Test 1

Written by • Aug 9th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film

Guess I got a little too trigger happy and ended with 3 rolls since yesterday … testing out my newly found joy … the 135W back for the Bronica ETRsi. Below are the photos from the first roll … mostly taken during a zoo trip with Fitzand yesterday. He is pretty capable in handling the scooter at the zoo now and I got to relax at the back (of course always on the alert when he starts to lose control being distracted by the animals). He will stop at almost… >> read more

Pentax MZ-3 : Test Run

Written by • May 9th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film

Finally a roll of Lomo Xpro 100 loaded into a Pentax MZ-3 I bought some time ago to maximize the use of my 43mm lens is done, developed and scanned. I was pretty confident the camera body will work great as I picked it up from an old friend and since it is an autofocus one … shooting was real easy and fun.

What puzzled me (and still is) was that even though I set the lens to f1.9 … the display on the camera showed f2.0. Perhaps there is… >> read more

Doubles, Doubles On The Wall

Written by • Apr 26th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film

Probably the roll that was left fermenting for the longest time in my LC-A+. It was a roll I prepared for a double exposure … probably end of last year and then couldn’t find time to finish shooting it until now. It is pretty fun looking at the photos and go ‘Whoa! That was taken sometime in February this year!’. Here are the messy (I love mess!) photos …

This one below was taken at the 2011 Chingay parade rehearsal. Oh man … how time flies!

The first exposure in… >> read more

Strip In Strips

Written by • Feb 13th, 2011 • Category: Fun with film

Frankly … I was almost bored to death during my trip to Malaysia for the Lunar New Year recently. Luckily I managed to get my dad to make a trip to the store to get me a prepaid internet access SIM card. However … I was still super busy having to look after Fitzand and trying to recover from hangovers.
In between these stuffs … I finished a roll of the Lomo Chrome 100 Xpro film (in a week). It was actually meant to be a roll of ‘first exposures’… >> read more

Tokyo 2010 : Analogues 1

Written by • May 1st, 2010 • Category: Fun with film

While I was busy with Fitzand … I somehow was able to squeeze out a few rolls out from my LC-A+. This one is a roll of Sensia III (ISO100) that I bought when I was out shopping with Mijonju. Well I can’t remember if I’ve used Sensia before … so I bought 2 rolls of these to try them out. Got them cross processed and the colors looks pretty neat! Indoor shots seem to have a warmer red color while the outdoor ones look like the usual Sensia colors… >> read more
