SLR Magic Pinhole : Test 1

Written by • Feb 4th, 2012 • Category: Digital stuffs
Tried very hard to take some test shots with the SLR Magic’s Pinhole (paired with my good ol’ E-P1) today when out with my family. Luckily I had some time out in the sun and managed to squeeze out 10 test shots. You might notice some dust (quite a lot of them!) spots on the photos … as I was too lazy to clone out all of them. 😛 You can actually see and compose the scene on the LCD if you are shooting out in the sun. Indoors …… >> read more

Toy Lens Fun In Malaysia

Written by • Apr 18th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
Finally home from a short trip to Malaysia. Usually I have a bit more time for photography there as my parents will help entertain Fitzand a little … while I can have a little peace of mind to snap away. Here are some digital ones taken using the SLR Magic Toy Lens and extension tube combo … on my E-P1. There were supposed to be more photos but somehow I was ‘inspired’ to work on something pretty ermm … special during this trip there. I can’t mention or post photos… >> read more

Pinwide In The Day

Written by • Apr 10th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
After my recent first tests with the Wanderlust’s Pinwide indoors, finally I got to test it in the bright sun light. The fun thing about using it in the day is that you get to see what you are shooting on the LCD. Yeah … I thought I wouldn’t see a thing since the pinhole is so tiny … but I was wrong. You can actually see (though not 100% clear) what you are shooting. That makes things a bit easier but somehow takes away a bit of the fun… >> read more

Toy Lens : First Look

Written by • Mar 4th, 2011 • Category: Digital stuffs
This new toy arrived at my desk … just a day after I placed an order (from Hong Kong). Super fast! The Toy Lens from SLR Magic … a lens that a blog reader/friend … ‘poisoned’ me with recently. You know who you are?!!! 😀 With a focal length of 26mm (which equals a 52mm on M4/3) … this little lens sure sounds fun! So how does it perform (or in toy lens/cam lovers’ perspective … ‘not perform’)? The lens is TINY! It is even smaller than the Pentax 25mm… >> read more

Tilt Vs Tilt

Written by • Jan 30th, 2011 • Category: Others
Ever since I mentioned in my blog that I bought the Kipon tilt adapter for my E-P1 … I got quite a number of emails asking me if it is of any good. Honestly I replied those emails with a very vague answer. Hahaha! ‘I am not very sure’. Well it all depends on what we expect from it. Those who has used a real tilt-shift lens might not like it … while people with low expectations (like me) find it pretty interesting. So I added in those replies that… >> read more

20mm Weekend

Written by • Oct 18th, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
Just the other day, a friend was trying to tell me that time seems to be flying fast than ever … because of some stuffs that I can’t comprehend (or give a damn). All I know is the darn weekends do zoom past like there is no tomorrow! Argh! Here I am behind my computer … blogging (and bitching) about another weekend gone by … but I’m sure from tomorrow onwards (Monday!) … time behind the desk will be crawling slower than ever. 🙁 Yesterday was the World Toy Camera… >> read more

Pancake + Pancake

Written by • Oct 13th, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
I’ve always thought the Olympus E-P1 is a very good camera and thought the 17mm f2.8 pancake lens is the only one I’ll ever own for use on it. Unfortunately … along came Panasonic and their GF1, another Micro 4/3 system camera and with it … comes a bright Lumix 20mm f1.7 pancake lens that sent a tsunami into my bank balance. Duh! The lens is not available here in Singapore yet (except when buying it with the camera body), so after quite some consideration … I decided to get… >> read more

Leftover From The Florist

Written by • Oct 13th, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
Found these 3 photos in my HDD while I was doing housekeeping last night. They were part of some random shots I took at a florist not too long ago. They were taken with my Olympus E-P1 and the 17mm kit lens on that day when I was helping a friend shoot some flower arrangements for a competition. The competition results are not out yet but I do hope one (or more) of her entires strike jackpot there. I think I should have gone easy on the saturation of this… >> read more

Lensbabies Goes M43

Written by • Jul 15th, 2009 • Category: Digital stuffs
What originally planned was to use only the 17mm f2.8 pancake lens on my E-P1 somehow didn’t last long. First I thought why not get an adapter to use the lens on my Pen F camera and later I had the itch to try using my Lensbabies on it. Duh! This means I’ll need two adapters! Ordered a Pen F to M43 adapter from ebay but it has not arrived as I’m typing this but managed to grab a Canon EF to M43 one from a local online camera store… >> read more
